昨夜、某大手監査法人で翻訳者として勤務する友人に、英語の勉強方法について質問してみました。
Yesterday, I asked one of my friend who works as a translator in one of the major audit firms in Tokyo how to study English.
私がこの友人を尊敬する理由は、29歳から英語を本格的に初め、日本に居ながらにして、TOEIC950点以上、英検1級を数年かけて習得した努力家ということです。
The reason why I look up to him is because he is very hard working man, who had started to learn English seriously at the age of 28 and archiving the TOEIC score above 950 and passing EIKEN 1 grade exam withing a few years without ever going abroad.
彼が英語を話せるようになった理由は、意地だそうです。。。
According to him, the reason why he became an English speaker is his "determination".
やはり、”痛み無くして、得るもの無し” ということでしょうか。
I guess it means, "No pain No gain"
。。。
....
それでも、何か気軽にできる英語教材はないのかと思ってしまいます。
I am still interested in the easy-do English materials...
彼からいろいろなお勧めサイトなど聞いていますので、
後日紹介させて頂きます。
