Deadpool (vol. 4) is written by Daniel Way and drawn by Alé Garza. In the story arc "DEAD" Wade is 'cured' of his healing ability and becomes mortal, as a side effect however, he also has his old, unscarred face back. Although he spent the majority of the story arc looking forward to dying he steps up and puts his desires on the back burner to protect his friend and lackey Hydra Bob.
