Today is a public holiday in Japan, Vernal Equinox Day. As the name suggests, it is also the time wherein the length of day and night is almost equal. This holiday marks the start of Spring in the northern hemisphere and Autumn in the southern hemisphere. For most of us, Spring means the start of something new... a fresh start... a new beginning.

This is also our wish for the thousands of people who were displaced by the recent M9 earthquake that brought with it a powerful tsunami. The people living in the areas affected had to evacuate and flee to a place they are not so familiar with.

Here in our area, the Saitama Super Arena is now the home for some of them. Hundreds of people are staying there until the end of this month only. We inquired what they need but we were told that their needs vary from day to day. So, if you wish to help out, please drop by and see how you can ease their pain a little.

Let's do our part and help.
Because if it were the other way around, I am pretty sure they will also extend their hands to try and comfort us in such trying times.
