え～、ＳＥＭＡの続きなんですが

Well, we were still sicking with SEMA, so let show some to you.

リングブラザーズというカスタムファクトリーからは、かなりエキセントリックな車がいくつも出品されていました。これは、フォードのフェアレーン。本当は、豪華クロームのモールディングがサイドについているのですが、これを大胆にも取り外してスムージング。バンパーをマットブラックにしてしまうところも、いままでなかったアプローチです。

This Fairlane was build by world famous Ring Brother's factory. Basically, Fairlane should have huge chrome side moldings, but this factory was bold enough to remove all of them and made it so smooth. And both ends of bumper we painted in slid black, well it was sooooo cool.

ただ、そんなリングブラザーズも、ちょっとやっちまったのが、このパンテーラ。あのなぁ・・・・

パンテーラやぞ！　いじるなよ！！！

However, even such Ring Brothers were made something so weired stuff. OK, this was the Pantera.......

DDDOOOOOOHHH !!!! PANTERA ........

クラシックトラックも頑張っていました。このシボレーピックアップ、グリルがなんとなくボータイになっていてお茶目。また、クロームのバンパーをリップスポイラー風に取り付けているのも全然違和感がないんです。あと、ドアミラーを見てくださいな。モダンなドアミラーがこんな車にマッチしてしまうんですね。

This classic Chevy truck had tircky front grill which looked like bow-tie. And Chrome bumper was located just like rip spoiler. Moreover, door mirrors were very modern and seemed not to suit to classic, but total looks was so cool.

ただ、今回のショーの中で、一番ツボにはまったのが、このフォード。ボディをチャネリングしてシャコタンにして、さらにフロント部分をスペースフレームにしてあるんです。思い切りフェンダーの中に引っ込んでいるタイヤも大胆。そして、マットブラック。これも今年のトレンドでした。

And this Ford truck was the favorite truck of mine in this year. Body was channeling to make it lower and lower. And front end was build by tubing frame structure. And solid black paint was applied as spot painting. Soooooo cool.

そして、これぞアメリカンカスタムの醍醐味。これって、積載車と呼ぶべきか……でも、どうして、ピックアップのベッドをボブテイルしているのか？？？

Well, it was so hard to say this was car hauler or not......but, I had no idea why this Ram pick up had bobtailed bed......

どーやって、ジープに乗りこむのさ！！！

You need parachute just in case to jump off from Jeep after parking on the RAM !!!!

SEMA ダイジェスト～

PCはぶっ壊れていますが、とりあえず、毎年恒例のSEMAのお話。

Well, our PC was still down, but our job never stopped. So, we would tell you about this years SEMA.

まずはこの６６シェヴェル。とにかく完成度高すぎ。エンジンはLSをスワップして、中身は完全に別物なんですが、ともかく、モダンとクラシックの融合ったら・・・・

This was my favorite show car, 66 Chevelle. Well, the motor was LS naturally, and other stuffs were whole bunch of latest cool stuff. But, looks was still oldies but each parts were totally modern, well, I could not find out right words ti describe this car rater than, COOL .

あと、このスーパービーもかなり来てました。エンジンの写真が撮れなかったんですが、HEMIの現行モデルをスワップ。

And this Super bee was other favorite car of mine, unfortunately I could not shoot pic for the motor, but the motor was latest HEMI with EFI, cool.

トラック系統は、とにかくディーゼルのオンパレード。ガソリンV8よりもディーゼルのほうが多かったかっていうくらい。そして、もうひとつのトレンドが、このカラーリングされたホイールなんですね。

Trucking was described as diesel show, that's it. I thought the total number of diesel truck were much more than Gas trucks. And also this kind of colored wheels were seemed new trend in this season.

このF150もカラードホイール。もちろんディーゼル。

OK, this was also colored wheel's stuff. Of course, this was diesel truck.

このF150もかなりきています。フロントバンパーにライトがビルドインされているんですが、ここにつけると、すぐにぶつけて壊しそう（苦笑）。

This F150 was also a kind of extreme, cool blight lights were built in the front bumper, but it's absolutely great place to hit on the trail.

あと、このフェラーリベルリネッタ。どうっていうことのないシンプルなカスタムなんですが、なんだか妙にクラッシックだと思いません？？色だけで、車ってこんなに雰囲気が変わるんですね。

And this Ferrari F12 was not so special about custom way, but it seemed very classic instead of latest wedge design. I think key fact was just a color, and the color made sometimes even latest Ferrari turned to be classic taste car. COOL.

まだ壊れております

ブログがぜんぜん更新されないと、方々から文句を言われておりますが・・・・・・

まだPCが壊れていて、どーにもなりません。

データがほぼすべてクラッシュ！！！


Many folks complained for not renew this blog, but our PC had been crashed so bad, and we had no idea when it would be fixed......

ジャンク専門

え～、無事に日本に戻ってきましたが、１１月にかけて怒涛のスケジュール。なんたって、ＳＥＭＡとかいろいろイベントもある上、この時期はアメリカからやたらと新製品情報が届く時期なので忙しいのです。

Just in case you are not sure I am really in Japan, well, I am back. But crazy schedule is waiting for me, because November is always drive me crazy. Many trade shows come up like SEMA, and zillions of new parts news come up to me from U.S.

加えて、この時期になると、工場の中にもやたらと中古部品が増えてきます。もちろん、使えるものはちゃんとクリーニングして、オーバーホールして使うのですが、あまり需要のないもの、興味のないもの、面倒くさいものなどはそのまま放置されているケースも多く、そのまま鉄くずとして処分されてしまうこともしばしば。でも、少しでもお金になって、世の中のためになるのならと、ジャンク専門の部門を立ち上げました。

And, usually in this season, our factory tends to fill up with the pile of junk. Of course, many used parts were recycled as usual; however, sometimes we met something unexpected junks, not attractive junks, tough to rebuild junks, not moody junks, and real junks. Usually such junks tended to be real iron scraps, but we re-considered about junks. If junks turns to be a little money and it works well for junk lovers in the country, well, it is nonsense to throw away. So, we just establish new department where deals with only junks.

ま、こんなにひどいジャンクばかりじゃないのですが

No, we are not going to deal with this kind of real junk, anyway.....

駐車場で

イギリスと言えば、やっぱり昔のミニクーパーを思い出すんですが、意外なことに、今回のイギリス滞在で見たクラシックミニは１台だけ。

Speak with English car, I remind Classic MINI instantly. However, only one time I saw Mini in this time.

片田舎の駐車場に、ポツンと止まっていました。

It seemed a little bit lonely that she stayed in country side parking lot.

で、あとはやっぱりランドローバーなんですが……

And, I am big fan of Land Rover.....

ランドローバーは結構ポピュラーで、あちこちで見かけました。フランス国内でも結構走っていたのは驚き。

Land Rover was a kind of popular vehicle and I saw them quite often in even France.

でも、クラシックジャガーは見られないだろうなぁと思っていたら……

But, I thought it was almost impossible to see classic Jaguar.....

E TYPE！！！

ウエストミンスターのパーキングにさりげなく、止まっていたんです。おまけに、カバーがこういう風にちょっとだけめくってあったんですね。
このバンパーのサイドウインカーの形状から、こいつはシリーズ１の６６年式に間違いありません。こんなのがひっそりと止まっているのが素敵。

I found this 66 1st E type in the public parking lot at Westminster. Just in case you misunderstood, I never peeled off the cover of this Jaguar. I think the owner was set the cover like this for somebody like me who recognized the value of this car. Cool.

で、フランスのパーキングでも見つけましたよ。

And I found cool stuff in France too.

なんとルノーキャトルのラリーレイドカー！！

This was so cool Renault 4L rally car !!!

運がいいことに、この車のオーナーが近くにいたので、話を聞くことができたのですが、なんでも、１８歳から２８歳までの学生が参加できるラリーレイドで、４Lトロフィーというのがあるんです。で、この車はそれに参加して、フランス、スペイン、モロッコと走破したれっきとした競技車両。

I was lucky enough to meet the owner of this cool 4L. According to him, this 4L was finished 4L trophy, it was rally laid for students who aged between 18 to 28, and race was stated from France to goal at Morocco.

そして素晴らしいのは、このラリーが巨大なチャリティーイベントであるということ。この４Lの中に、学校で使う教材などを積み込み、モロッコの貧しい子供のために届けるというミッションがあり、そのために大冒険をしてしまうんですね。で、当然のことながら、レギュレーションは、車は４Lであること！

And the most cool point was this rally was big project to transport classroom materials for poor children in Morocco. All competitor had to pack full of materials for Morocco kids in their 4L, and had to break through tough rally to deliver. Wow, what a so cool adventure for young students !!!And, needless to say, all competitor had to use Renault 4L for rally car.

やはり、ヨーロッパはモータースポーツの先進国だと感じた瞬間でした。うらやましい！

Well, I felt so much that Europe was totally developed area for motor sports.
