Japanese trains are typically classified into the following categories...

日本の列車は、通常、以下のタイプに分けられます。

普通　Local : Local trains stop at every station.

普通列車は全駅にとまります。

快速 Rapid : Rapid trains skip some stations.

快速はいくつかの駅をとばして進みます。

急行 Express :

Express trains stop at even fewer stations than rapid trains.

急行は快速よりさらに少ない駅にとまります。

特急 Limited Express :

Limited express trains stop only at major stations.

A limited express fee would be charged in addition to the base fare.

特急は大きな駅のみにとまります。乗車料金に加え、特急料金が必要です。

新幹線 Shinkansen :

Shinkansen is a network of high-speed railway lines in Japan.

Shinkansen run along separate tracks and platforms.

A limited express fee would be charged in addition to the base fare.

新幹線とは、日本の高速鉄道ネットワークです。

新幹線は、他の列車とは別のホームから出発し、別の線路を通ります。

乗車料金に加え、特急料金が必要です。

あなたはレストランへ入りこう言います。。。

Hello. We don't have a reservation.

Could we have a table for two?

こんにちは。予約をしてないのですが、二人お願いできますか？

I'm sorry, but we don't have any tables available right now.

Would you mind waiting for a while?

申し訳ございませんが、ただ今満席ですので、少々お待ちいただけますか？

How long would we have to wait?

どのくらいかかりますか？

About 20minutes.　だいたい２０分ぐらいです。

OK.　いいですよ。

May I have your name? お名前をいただけますか？

電車に乗るための並び方を説明したいとき・・・

Go to the platform and wait behind the white line, please.

ホームで、白い線の内側でお待ちください。

Line up behind the last person, please.

列の一番最後にお並びください。

When a train arrives, wait until pelple get off the train, please.

列車が到着した際は、お降りのお客様を先にお願いします。

You can sit down in any open seat.

空いているお席におかけください。

（店の人に　Many I help you? 何かしてさしあげられますか？　と聞かれているので、まずは、Yes と答えました＾－＾）

For how many people?　何名様ですか？

Seven people, please. 七人お願いします。

Smoking or non-smoking? おたばこは吸われますか？

Non-smoking, please. 吸いません。

Your name and phone number, please.

お名前とお電話番号をお願いします。

My name is Hojo. Number is ○○...

名前は北条です。電話番号は○○・・。

（電話番号は、number で通じます＾－＾）

OK, Mr. Hojo. You have a reservation for seven people at 7.

かしこまりました、北条様。七時に七名様でご予約させて頂きます。

I'm not sure where I can bord my Shinkansen train.

どこで新幹線に乗ったらよいのか分からないのです。

May I see your Shinkansen train ticket?　

新幹線のチケットを見せてもらえますか？

Here. はい。

Check the number of the platform of your train　on the display board.

あなたの電車のホームを掲示板で確認してください。

Yes. はい。

Go to track number 2 this time, please.

今回は二番ホームへお願いします。

OK. 分かりました。

When you get the platform, go to under the number plate of the car indicated on your ticket.

ホームについたら、チケットに書かれている車両の番号と同じ番号の下に行って下さい。
