ついでに思い出しましたが、俳優のMicheal J.Foxもカナダ人でがブリテッシュ・コロンビア州の隣州アルバータ出身でした。彼が90年頃からパーキンソン病にかかっていた事実を、私は昨年知りました! パーキンソン病リサーチ財団 http://www.michaeljfox.org/ を設立し活動家として、この未だ理解のされ方が不十分な病気を認知してもらうために国外を含め政府に医療補助を呼びかけてきました。3人も子供がいのにかわいそ～。 男優として北米で身長低いハンディは大きいですが、それにもかかわらず若いうちに色々やり遂げました。エミー賞コメディ部門主演男優賞では『ファミリータイズ』で3回（3年連続）と『スピンシティ』で1回、計4回の受賞歴があるそうです。
＞＞＞1999年、エリック・クラプトンが、運営しているドラッグ更生診療所「クロスロードセンター」への資金捻出のために、所有するギター104本をニューヨークのクリスティーズのオークションに出品。薬物乱用者のためのチャリティー･オークションで、マイケル･Ｊ･フォックスは２本のギターを落札し話題となった。

歌詞は青春、ノスタルジーにあふれた単純ながらも情景表現がNiceな歌詞なんですが、実は本人いわく｢６９年の夏｣というよりも、６９は s-x を文字っての象徴との事。 オチがエロくてせっかくの歌詞が台無し。ぶ～。
＞＞＞ In his recent Anthlogy from 2005, as well as the song's intro during live concerts, Adams stresses "Summer of '69" has "nothing to do with the year 1969," and implied it is a reference to the sex position: "… [A] double entendre, it's about sex, much like [one of Adams' professed favourite songs] Bob Seger's 'Night Moves,'" which follows a similar theme of nostalgia and summer love. Adams actually sings "me and my baby in a '69" at the end of the song. On the CBS Early Show on September 8, 2008, Adams clearly stated the song is about sex. He stated, “A lot of people think it’s about the year but actually it’s more about making love in the summer time. It uses 69 as a sexual reference.”
そーいえば、86年の頃ですが、Vancouverの女の子の間ではノーブラ、黒のタイトスラックス、ダーティーブロンドをスプレーでバリバリたてがみレイヤー、小さな黒のポシェットの肩かけ、タバコをふかすのも。サマンサ・フォックスのモノクロ版のようなスラッとした女の子たち。おまけに厚化粧なのでティーンには見えなかった。でもアメリカよりキレイな子を観た頻度が高かったかも。 この年、VancouverではExpoが開催されｓｋｙｔrainも開通されました。 その後、Vancouverは華僑やアジア人がどんどん増え、白人は内陸に移住していったようです。

妻は女優トレイシー・ポラン、長男にサム、双子の娘スカイラー・フランシス、アクイナ・キャスリーン、三女エズメ・アナベラ。
2006年4月28日放送のフジテレビ金曜エンターテイメント『人体再生ロマンSPもう一度抱きしめたい』の番組内で、自伝『ラッキー・マン』を題材にした再現ドラマが放送された。
一時、出世作である『バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー』のPart4の制作が発表されたとの情報が流れた。それによると、マイケル自身はマーティではなくドク役での出演になるということであった。しかし、その後「Part4の制作」そのものが公式に否定されている。
2006年10月20日、難病治療のためのES細胞研究を支持する民主党候補への応援CMに出演した。また、別の番組でインタビューに答えた際、体を大きく揺らすなど非常に激しい挙動をとったため｢パーキンソン病を誇大に宣伝するための演技ではないか｣と一部で疑いがもたれた（同じくパーキンソン症患者のモハメド・アリは体を揺らすというよりは震えがとまらない姿で長い間公共の場に姿を現していることも一因と考えられる）。本人は「あれはパーキンソンのありのままの姿。普段プルプル震えてたり、顔面が硬直しているのは必死に挙動を抑えているからなんだ」と反論している。
