Last week I visited LPI-Japan's head office to learn about the changes to the LPIC test.

Here is a summary of the changes to the LPIC test:

1. LPIC 301 and 302 will be merged into a new test: LPIC 300 (Mixed Environment).

2. You can take the English LPIC 300 from October, 2013.

3. You can take the Japanese LPIC 300 from January, 2014.

4. You can still take the old tests (301, 302) for 3 months after the new tests are released.

5. LPIC 2 (201, 202) will be updated.

6. The new LPIC 2 (English and Japanese) will be released in November.
