A portable gantry crane is a medium-sized crane that is not permanently anchored in the ground. The machine uses an electric hoist as its lifting mechanism. It can also be moved on casters with brakes. Quick assembly and disassembly are its main characteristics, as is flexible deployment. Unlike Gantry Cranes, they are primarily used for temporary and multi-station materials handling. Installing the crane does not require specialized infrastructure. It is also more cost-effective and mobile. This mobile gantry has many advantages, including rapid assembly, low footprint, cost-effectiveness, and adaptability for various indoor and outdoor ground surfaces. What is its purpose?
Factory Workshops include: equipment assembly, mold replacement, and heavy parts handling.
Warehouse logistics: loading and unloading trucks. Pallet stacking. Raw materials transfer.
Automotive Repair and Shipbuilding. Engine hoisting and assembly of hull sections.
Construction sites and field activities: no infrastructure is required for lifting equipment, installing temporary equipment, or installing temporary lifting equipment.
Research Institutes: Lightweight Aluminum Alloy Gantry Cranes, Avoiding Ground Damage and Contamination
Mobile Gantry Crane Maintenance Tips
1. Pre-Use and Daily Inspection
a.Inspect all structural components, including the main beams, outriggers, and connecting bolts for signs of deformation or loosening.
b.Inspect for cracks in the hook, and check that the safety latch remains intact.
c.Inspect and test the brake function of the electric casters. Remove any tangled or twisted debris from the wheels.
Inspect the electric hoist and the control cable for damage.
Test the sensitivity, reliability, and durability of all limit switches.
2. Weekly and Regular Inspection
Lubricate the wheel bearings and height-adjustment mechanism screws.
b.Inspect and tighten all steel structure connecting screws (use a Torque wrench if torque requirements are required).
Inspect the electric casters for wear on the brake pads and drive system.
3. Quarterly And Annual Overhaul
Structure: When used outside or in coastal regions, check the structure of steel for corrosion. If needed, carry out non-destructive inspections on the major welds.
Electrical: Inspect the entire electrical system i, including contactors, controllers, cables, and loose components.
Running gear: Inspect wheel wear. If the wear on your wheel's diameter exceeds 10%, then you need to replace it immediately.
