この曲は数多くの歌手がカバーしてきた有名な曲で、オーティス・レディングの楽曲と認知されていることが多いが、実際の原曲は1932年にレイ・ノーブル楽団（ジャズバンド）により発表されたもので、レディングがこの曲のアレンジ版を1968年に発表し有名になったという経緯がある。レイ・ノーブル版のジャズダンス的な穏やかな印象とは一転、レディング版はソウルフルなアレンジが成され、全く異なる楽曲のように聴こえる。
