最近メディアに取り上げられたYOSAKOIソーランチーム（１）倭奏：二月二十日付の北海道新聞に拠ると、札幌を本拠地とする倭奏が昨年の「テレどまつり」で大賞に輝いた。この映像コンテストは、コロナ禍で各地のよさこい祭りがキャンセルされていった２０２０年に、毎年夏に名古屋で行われている「にっぽんど真ん中祭り」の主催者が開始したもので、昨年は１１月に参加２１７チームの審査が行われた。五分間の動画に纏められた倭奏の作品は、小樽市の能楽堂といった文化財や島牧村の賀老の滝のような景勝地などで撮影したもの。倭奏の今回の受賞に祝意を表すべく、ここに昨年七月三十一日、えべつ北海鳴子祭りでの同チームの演舞の模様を写した画像を披露する。（Team Featured on Media Lately [1] WAKKA: According to Feb. 20 edition of the Hokkaido Newspaper, WAKKA--a YOSAKOI/Soran team based in Sapporo--won the grand prize in a motion picture competition of YOSAKOI teams last year. This competition named TELE DOMATSURI started in 2020 when YOSAKOI festivals throughout Japan were being cancelled amid COVID-19 scare. Organizers of NIPPON DOMAN'NAKA MATSURI [lit., "festival in the very center of Japan" usually held in Nagoya--a major city in central Japan on the Pacific coast--in the summer; abbreviated into DOMATSURI] have hosted this event since then. A total of 217 teams made entries to this contest in November last year. WAKKA filmed their performances at multiple locations such as a building of historical value and scenic sites, and edited their work into a five-minute motion picture. As a token of my congratulations to WAKKA, I post some images that captured their dancing at an event in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, on July 31 last year. *Note: Two symbols of 倭奏--Japanese transcription of WAKKA--means "Japanese " and "playing music," respectively. This team name reflects a notable feature of their performance, i.e., its members play Japanese musical instruments while dancing.）
