New Year has come!

You can hear sound of traditional music everywhere on New Year's day.

And there was a good opportunity to listen to melody of Koto and Shakuhachi.

I was in Chiba, which is my hometown, on 2nd of January.

When I was checking some musician's profile, I coinsidently found a traditional music ivent at a shopping centre near my house.

It was very interesting.

You can hardly see live performance of Traditonal musical instruments.

There was two instruments.

The one was Koto(箏), which is Japanese style harp.

And another was Shakuhachi(尺八), Japanese fruit.

The sound was very beautiful and sensitive.

The Koto Player was Kakinokihara Kou(柿木原こう).

She was a member of Traditional Japanese Instrument Unit "YUI(結)".

And the Shakuhachi Player was Mitsui Ranzan(三井闌山).

They wore Kimono and played a subtle tone.

Their performance was very attractive.

Many shoppers stopped to visit them.

I was also captivated by their performance!
