What was the update brought in the other Trainee Cards?
As per the news, as on and from 1st August 2016, the issuing of Trainee Technical, Supervisory and Management (TSM) card and Trainee (Craft & Operative) card have been terminated. There's only one common Trainee Card which requires you to have recognized construction qualification. Also, don't forget that SSSTS, SMSTS and NEBOSH General are no more the way for a trainee card.
Qualifications:
The first criterion to meet is simple and straightforward and i.e. you must be new in the industry working as a trainee.
Go for your study of the NVQ or SVQ level or any of the following:
- Intermediate Construction Award
- Some relevant degree
- Non NVQ diploma
- The Foundation Construction Award
Necessary proof documents must be presented by the applicant and for that, you should minimum have the evidence from the end of your training provider's awarding organization, which should include:
- Name of the Applicant
- The qualification title and the level of course in which you have registered.
- The date of your registration which should be in the last two years.
Don't forget to complete your CITB Health and Safety CSCS Test within the last two years.
What is the validity of the card?
As it's a trainee card, it's not going to be for a long period of time.Through this card, you will learn the art of working perfectly in your job role and after 5 years it will expire and there will be no sort of renewable feature .
What to do after this card?
This is a Trainee CSCS Card, so go ahead and work hard and smart towards attaining the next level of Blue or Gold CSCS Cards.
