>Listening comprehension with an audio aid (CD), Chorus reading, Question-answering
c. Introduction of New Material (pp.85)
>Explain new words, phrases, and grammar with a work sheet
>Oral Interaction of New Material
d. Listening comprehension and Oral Reading
>Questions (What is muzukashii in English, according to the dictionary? etc.)
>Listening to CD and students try to understand the contents of the passage to answer the questions.
>Chorus reading with the teacher and students try to understand the contents of the passage to answer the questions.
>Answering the questions
e. Reading practice
>Pair work with the work sheet (Teacher circulates among students’ desks and checks on their work such as their pronunciation and performance.)
f. Demonstration
>Demonstration by 15 selected students (Teacher reads one sentence in Japanese, and then the students translate it into English.)
