Excuses can either push you far away from dreams or further away from your possibilities. It's possible that you may be the one person which can form a group and be a leader by sharing your passion. Even when it seems like you have nothing to offer, your expression can be the one thing that will make a difference. Change begins from thinking that you can achieve. The lot of Indian poor has definitely improved in certain areas. The government has also introduced schemes such as NREGA, whereby each rural household gets guaranteed work for 100 days in a year at close to or equal to minimum wages in each state. But a lot remains to be done. Hence, it is not in order to throw off the cuff poverty figures and confuse both the administration and the poor. It has also to be recognized that poverty is reduced not by poverty alleviation schemes, but by development. The schemes can only be stop-gap arrangement.
