mon 1.0 out of 5 stars Reviewed in Japan on April 3, 2021 |

C. Pohl 5.0 out of 5 stars Alles so wie es soll! Meine Rezension ist also vollkommen frei von äußeren Einflüssen! johnnymad 5.0 out of 5 stars Good value and warm. I decided to risk a purchase as I liked the style and wanted a warm winter jacket. I'm 6' 0" with 46 ish chest and the large size fits me fine. That is at least one size smaller than I would normally order. Other features I like and dislike... I was surprised to see that the zip starts quite high up: about belt height rather than right at the bottom of the jacket. It turns out this makes it very convenient when sitting down. Just pop the bottom two press studs. The outidepockets have plenty of room. I can carry a buff, beanie and gloves and still have one pocket spare for wallet etc. No inside pocket in the zip out lining unfortunately. I'm not keen on the sergeant stripes on the sleeve but will soon cover them with a patch. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 22, 2018 |
George Hunter 5.0 out of 5 stars Warm. Practical. Good pockets. I have a big dog. He needs lots of exercise. Wanted a jacket that would do the job on windy cold beach days. Love the pockrts on this. Fit is big but I knew that. I bought a large and I'm 5'11 and 14 stone. Normally I'd go XL but this l is plenty big. I love the look of this jacket. Hood is a bit meh but I didn't buy it for that. Warm. Comfy. Seems well made. Love the internal jacket can come out. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 13, 2020 |

dubdad 5.0 out of 5 stars Go a size up lads Right here goes. I’m 6ft3 about 17 stone and I bought the 3xl camo jacket. It fits perfectly. Slightly big so you can wear a hoodie or some type of winter top easily. It feels very heavy and snug on. The collar strap is a good inclusion. The arms were perfect for me. Just to my knuckles when fully open. These can be strapped up if you want then shortened by an inch or 2. The lining is zipped in and a fleece type of material inside whereas you get a padded quilted back with long arms. These are also buttoned in at the cuff of the inner jacket. It’s very cozy. In the summer you can remove this if you wish. The only downsize for me was the 4 pockets. I wanted them oversized but although I can get my hand in them it’s a tight fit and I wanted to have a few shells in each side but I am Only griping a bit here. The jacket looks great and feels great on too. I was out shooting with it today and no movement issues or jacket been too tight across the back or arms. Quite like the name tags stitched in front too. I would never buy a 3xl in anything else but as I’m normally a 2xl jacket I went one up and was very happy I did. Looking forward to hunting in this jacket with these cold days coming in. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 6, 2019 |
Christopher 4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, slightly large sizing Ordered the jacket using 1st Military on Amazon, as reviews mentioned they had good service. It arrived next day and it is a better than expected! Well made and feels like a quality coat. I particularly like the chunky removable winter lining, durable zippers. The color is slightly paler than expected (woodland camo). I have a 37” chest (5’11”) and originally thought about the size M but after reading the many reviews on Amazon decided that an S would be better. Good job I did as the sizing is larger than expected and the S fits larger than a regular store bought coat. Recommend the jacket but beware of sizing ! I only wish it was a tiny bit bigger . the sizing is on the small size . if your are a large order an xl and so on , i received the jacket double quick and was delighted with it until I realized my error . I got the wrong size for me . never mind i thought ill return it get my money back and get another one . cash being a bit tight (a bit like the jacket) i have to wait until I get a refund to do so. shock horror it cot £37 to return it , so far I have splashed out over £100 and still not had my refund yet. despite everything I'm still optimistic and keeping my fingers crossed making it very difficult to type . more than two weeks have passed now . we will see how long it takes . Scott 5.0 out of 5 stars Brandit M-65 Giant Jacket Light Woodland Colour. This is a very good, heavy jacket. It has an inner jacket that can be unzipped and taken out. It has 4 outside pockets, none inside. After reading the reviews, I ordered mine 1 size smaller. I am an XL, so I ordered a Large and it fits perfectly. So, whatever size you are, my advice is to buy 1 size smaller. I bought this on next day delivery and it arrived by Royal Mail on time. It was well packaged, arrived in a box. Thank you Military 1 and Amazon. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 7, 2020 |
Burtnick 3.0 out of 5 stars Be careful with sizing especially after reading possibly inacurrate reviews! Firstly, this jacket is of excellent quality and I would imagine would be warm enough to withstand many of the elements the British winter would care to throw at someone. The biggest problem for me is the fit. I vary between large and xl with quite broad shoulders. Upon reading the reviews that said this garment was of a generous fit so order a size below, I duly did so. When this arrived in a large, it was sadly too small. The sleeve length was perfect but it was tight around chest and waist (so much so that I couldn't do it up). Sadly it has to go back and as the seller is in Germany it will cost an arm and a leg to do so. The low star rating is purely because of fit. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 2, 2021 |
Dave Turner 5.0 out of 5 stars Its a jacket. Over all good. If I was buying this again I'd have gone for an XL rather than an XXL. In a way its two jackets in one because you can wear the liner as a separate jacket. I always take the liners out because I was always taught that layers are better particularly in UK weather. The cuffs would have been better if they'd been secured by buttons instead of Velcro. The epaulets would also have been better secured by buttons as the poppers unsnap when you put a bag over your shoulder or slip into your backpack. The breast pockets are big with more than enough room to hold torches, knives, lighters, mobile phones and such. The hip pockets are smaller but still ok. The silly name tags are easily removable with a sharp knife. Unfortunately the chevrons on the sleave aren't sewn on and need to be covered with a badge or something. Andy Phillips 5.0 out of 5 stars Good jacket but pay attention to the feedback on sizes. Very pleased with the jacket. So pleased I would buy it again. I’m a 42” chest and having reviewed the feedback from previous purchasers I opted for the medium. Wearing a t-shirt or shirt this jacket fits comfortably even with the liner in place. I could fit a thin jumper underneath too but don’t think I will need to given how warm the jacket is. I am 5’ 11” tall and the jacket length is good for me (as is the sleeve length). I’ve only had the it a few days so I can’t comment on longevity yet but the construction is good, the fasteners snap closed with a positive click and the zips all function smoothly. The liner is well secured too. The jacket is machine washable for convenience which is a bonus. If you want a stylish (military style) jacket in a choice of sizes and colours then this is one to seriously consider. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 21, 2017 |
Mark 5.0 out of 5 stars Superb example of an M65 jacket. I love this jacket, I’ve been after an M65 Giant for a few years and when I saw it on here for under £65 I couldn’t say no. Size - I’m a 40inch chest with quite wide shoulders and I went for the small which, apart from being flattering, is a perfect fit. The jacket itself is very well made, good thick material and lined, which gives a bit more wind & rain resistance if you take the liner out. The liner is a full jacket, bomber style and also well made. Taking the liner out is a combination of zips, buttons and poppers that is a lot less complicated than it sounds, and serves to stop the liner from bunching up while you’re moving. The last M65 I owned lasted me 15 years so fingers crossed I’ll get the same service out of this one. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 2, 2021 |
dave 5.0 out of 5 stars It would seem best to order a size down from your usual. I'm 5ft 7in, 40in chest; jacket size Small (with liner) over a shirt is just right. And the one I got does NOT have the embarrassing sergeant's stripes! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 24, 2021 |

MyLittleEye 4.0 out of 5 stars I chose next size down and got a perfect fit. I'm 175cm tall and about 85kg Chest size 42-44 ish with a bit extra around the midriff - just enough to tip me into the "overweight" category I live on the cusp between Large and Medium UK sizes so I'd usually go L for shirts and such like. After reading other reviews suggesting this jacket runs a little oversized I chanced it with a Medium and I'm very happy with the fit. With the liner fitted it fits me perfectly around the chest and across the shoulders, if very slightly snug about the 'middle age spread'. Enough to encourage me to lose weight but not so much that I couldn't wear it over a woolly jumper - not that I see much need for that happening; the liner itself is toasty warm so I can see myself most likely just layering it over just a thin sweater during the coldest months. I expect to be leaving the liner in the wardrobe most of the time - it really is super toasty. Without the liner the Medium size really is a perfect fit with plenty of room for layering in the typical British climate. I consider the liner a backup. I'm sure size L would've looked like a tent on me. Notably the sleeves, even on the medium, might seem a little long to some but this is by design. There's a triangle of fabric tucked up inside the sleeve that un-velcros to cover the back of the hand; in fact with a little ingenuity it connects to the adjuster tab on the cuff to completely enclose the hand - nice to have if you're caught out with no gloves. Tucked back in and fixed with velcro, the sleeves cover my wrists nicely when I reach up so it's a perfect fit really. Unless you're at the larger end of your size category I'd recommend considering a size down, particularly if you have a more athletic physique than I. The jacket itself is lined with black fabric and is quite weighty compared to a similar camouflage jacket I was issued in the RAF. Too heavy perhaps for summer use; Brandit do a cheaper version with a thinner removable liner which I'm guessing is a lighter alternative. however I don't have that to compare. The jacket deserves 5 stars really were it not for the daft foldaway hood. It's made from the same thin black material as the garment's inner lining. It doesn't feel the least bit water resistant and is too insubstantial to keep your head warm. A cosy detachable hood would've been better - forget about it and get a hat; the jacket's great! Amazon Customer 1.0 out of 5 stars Very expensive return cost BUYERS BEWARE I ordered this jacket ,mine came from Poland delivery was a few weeks which is fine ,unfortunately the fit was all wrong too long too big at the chest and to tight at the waist .so I took it to the post office to return as instructed and was told it would cost £56 to return it ,I've contacted the supplier 3 times now over the last 4 weeks asking if there is an alternative way to return the goods that wouldn't cost over half of what I paid for it and had no reply ..I would certainly not order from this supplier again. Lewi Thomas-Rogers 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Jacket! Sizes run large! This is a genuinely fantastic jacket. Really well made. Heavy fabric keeps you warm, even without the liner in it. I took the liner out of mine because it is very bulky otherwise. The sleeves are a little long as well, but apart from that this is definitely a jacket worth getting if your looking for a rugged, warm winter jacket. Although, WARNING: the sizes run large! I'm 6'2, 19 stone with a 52 inch chest so originally I went for the 4XL. When it arrived, I found it to be far too large. Sent it back and bought a 3XL instead. Like I said, the arms are a little long, but other than that, it's a great fit. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on May 20, 2017 |
Flymosx 4.0 out of 5 stars A versatile jacket. I had been eying these jackets up for some time and finally decided to take the plunge. I had heeded previous reviews about them being on the large side and so ordered a large and a medium together, intending to return the ill-fitting one. So, I’m 182cm, 93kg with a 111cm chest. I like a reasonably snug fit with the lining zipped in, as it’s so warm you can seriously get away with a tee shirt underneath and so the medium is the size that suited. Liner removed, the medium gives you sufficient space to wear a sweater if desired. Well made, warm (with liner) and comfortable. This is a versatile jacket. It is a relatively dry weather jacket, don’t forget. The cotton construction gives protection in only light rain. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 20, 2021 |
Antony C 1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Waste Your Money Look Elsewhere For a near £100 jacket I would have expected better quality and fit. Even though I followed the sizing guidelines on here these jackets are too tight across the chest and the sleeves to arm pit dimensions are tiny. If you want to zip up the jacket and have full arm movements forget it because they are too tight in that area. It gets a lot worse if you then fit the liner. Also if you carry a normal sized wallet the two chest pockets are way too small to accommodate other than a smallish mobile phone. Lower pockets are just a dire and if you are lucky and you even get your wallet in there chances are you can not fit your hand in there to retrieve it. Find a better style of this jacket and avoid Brandit jackets because they are made down to a price and not a quality.. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 23, 2021 |
Andy Latte 5.0 out of 5 stars Der Winter kann kommen :) Eine wirklich sehr schöne und wertige Jacke. Graham 5.0 out of 5 stars My new grab and go! Lovely jacket, well made and finished. The attached hood is hidden behind a chunky zip, and it hangs down between the inner and outer shells, unlike other jackets, meaning it doesn't bulk the collar. Looking forward to cold mornings to test the lining though when I went out on a windy day it felt windproof. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 24, 2020 |

J Comley 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Jacket but go a size down from your normal size. 07-11-20 Arrived literally the next day. It took me a while to decide what size to get as other customers had said to get a size down this always worries but on this occasion they were right. I’m usually an XL and plunged for a large. I’m 6’3” and weigh 17 stone and have a slight beer gut. My chest size is 46”. If you’ve got a big beer gut it’s advisable to go XL. The coat is quite heavy with the liner in, the overall quality is very good and I’m very pleased with it. The coat fits perfectly without the liner and unless you’re thinking of visiting the polar regions you’ll be fine without. It is slightly tight around the waist with the liner in but not uncomfortable just very slightly snug. Without it, it’s fine. Length wise is goes to about the top of the thigh just how it should. The arm length is long but they usually are with M65 style jackets. They do fold up onto Velcro fastenings. So it’s not really a problem. Overall it seems like a very good well made jacket. It’ll keep you dry in a light shower but if it bins it down you’ll get soaked. If it’s cold it’ll certainly keep you warm! And on top of that it looks pretty cool. Overall I’m very pleased with it, but please be aware of the sizing. Go for it! Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 7, 2020 |
