Poland is so far not happy with Germany

Poland's de facto leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has revived demands for German war reparation payments, despite the issue being tabled for decades. The move is nothing more than a diversion, says DW's Bartosz Dudek.

この動きは、陽動作戦にほかならないと、DW誌のBartosz Dudekは言う。
"The suffering brought upon Poles by the Germans in the name of the German people is simply unfathomable. We Germans feel a deep sense of shame for those crimes. We have taken responsibility in the past and will do so in the future," Rolf Nikel, Germany's ambassador to Poland, recently explained in a speech delivered on the country's National Warsaw Uprising Remembrance Day.
「ドイツ国民の名のもとに、ポーランドにもたらされた苦しみは、筆舌に尽くしがたい。これらの犯罪について、われわれドイツ人は深く恥を感じる。われわれは、過去の責任を取ってきたし、これからも、そうするだろう」と、ポーランドのドイツ大使のRolf Nikelは、最近、ポーランドのワルシャワ蜂起記念日の演説で述べた。
Indeed, the monstrosity of German crimes, not only against Polish Jews but also others, including the 150,000 civilians butchered during the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, will forever remain a disgrace and an unforgettable injustice. It is all the more so given that hardly any of those Germans responsible for the deeds were ever brought to account. That, too, will always be a blot on the history of Germany's justice system.
そのとおり、ポーランドのユダヤ人に対するだけではなく、1944年のワルシャワ蜂起でブチ殺された１５万人の市民を含め、ほかの人たちにも向けられた、ドイツの犯罪の恐ろしさについては、不名誉で忘れがたい不正義として、永遠に残るだろう。

Those crimes carry not only a moral price, but a material one as well: In 2004, Warsaw's then-mayor, Lech Kaczynski, calculated that Germany was liable for reparation payments of some $45 billion dollars (38 billion euros) for the destruction of Warsaw alone. If one were to extrapolate the amount to include the whole of Poland, one would certainly arrive at a figure 10 to 20 times higher. That would be a sum that could only be paid out over decades and across generations. When one considers that Germany's final reparation payments to France and Belgium for the First World War(!) were not made until 2010, one gets an idea of the dimensions of such a demand.

No war reparations are payable. War is war, it is a part of human nature. If anyone is to blame, it is God for creating humans the way they are.
By all means, take revenge at the time. But the victor should not pay the vanquished. Indeed, the war ends only when a victor emerges.
And then there is peace.

It's hard to feel sympathy for the Germans who seem determined to alienate allies in their vain drive to become the 'leaders of the free world'. Germany has no moral authority to make such a claim, they make nice things but their arrogance is repugnant and telling others how to behave rarely goes down well. Remember who you are Germany, remember what you did and remember that you were forgiven not only reparations but repayments of the Marshall Plan which enabled post war growth. It seems the Germans have forgotten their place and need reminding.

Poland is one of largest blood suckers recipients of EU subsidies which mostly happen to be German tax payers money. In 2015 they black-holed 10B euro in "EU help". They are in EU since early 2000s so it is not hard to calculate how much they enjoyed their proud patriotism on expense of honest workers in Germany. Too bad that Germans are so incapable of any protest and protection of their own rights so all sorts of lazy parasites enjoy their siestas while people in Germany suffer mounting pressures because of traitors governing them from Berlin and Brussels.

I agree........ Germany and its allies Austria and Russia invaded and systematically destroyed one Polish city after another. Even when the German army retreated from Warsaw in 1944 they torched the city and murdered 200 000 woman and children for spite.Poland received no reparations, yet West Germany got a nice fat Marshall Plan paycheck for destroying Europe.
Germany pay up......we know you have the money cos ure inviting millions of terrorists and illegals, colluding in the car industry and ure getting europe to bail out German banks in Greece.

As I said, we are colleagues of the defeated nation sorry club, while Germans are not happy to associate with me by such a way.
I can say that we are very lucky to have good neighbors especially China, who in good will waiving war reparation, telling who was wrong is not the people, but the military.
Like I say, what you need to have first is a good neighbor, and a good neighbor is a hard earning feature as we could have got her as a result of the late 2000 years close relationship including 2 times of major mistakes that past Japanese caused.
