Bottom line is that the US Neocons insist on making each and every other nation their submissive vassal states -- any nation able to have a economy or foreign policy independent than that of Washington will be viewed and treated as a threat.
That's the reason for all those corporately designed Free Trade Agreements, these are used to reduce nations sovereignty next to nothing and hold them accountable in a closed and private tribunal where they use their own officials.
