In my current conclusion, Japan-China relationship issue, has become no more just a matter concerning both countries, but a beginning of a certain sort of clash.
The clash between two kinds of people, such as the people living in the three countries, China, South Korea, and Japan, who opt to keep promises to abroad, trying to be pacific, denying all of racistic discrimination against Chinese and Korean residents in Japan, versus other people with Japanese militaristic power, which breaking the promise we made once before, aiming to get engagement happen to dispatch troops into Chinese territory when the conflict gets deeper.

The right leaned people are going to accuse this time address of Nonaka, for the sake of his becoming a trator, defending China.
I think it would be too difficult to make many people to understand that there was a certain agreement of suspending the issue as Nonaka saying, in spite of current domestic mood.

Thanks for your sharing of thought.
Japanese right wingers have certain elements of ideas that resonate among Japanese. It is complicated and I understand it. But most people wouldn't like China and Japan divorce each other because it will not work. To mix angers with dispute with neighbors is wrong approach.For past 40 years since China and Japan renormalized relationship, the Senkaku issue wasn't a big one until last year when Noda “nationalized” it. If there weren't any agreements between two govts, verbal or written, the situation would have been very different kind.
As for clash between two nations, at this moment, the possibility is small. Abe, though tough in mouth, still tries to manage the situation. On China part, she will do best to put the issue aside. The fact that so many influential Japanese visited China since Abe govt in place and many of them received highest possible welcome meetings by Chinese side speaks volumes. I don't see that happened between Japan and any other govts.

しかし、ほとんどの人は中国と日本が破局することを決して望まないでしょう、それは無理だからです。
怒りを隣国との争いに向けることは、誤ったやり方です。
中国と日本の国交が正常化されてからの４０年間の間、尖閣問題は大した問題ではありませんでした、野田が国有化をするまではです。
もしも両国政府の間に、成文化されていてもいなくても、合意がなかったならば、尖閣問題は全く違った展開になっていたでしょう。
現時点では、両国の衝突の可能性は、わずかです。
安倍は、口では強気なことを言っていますが、実は状況に対処しようとしています。
中国側では、中国としては、この問題を棚上げするために全力を尽くすつもりです。
実際には、安倍が政権についてから、多くの日本人実力者が訪中し、彼らの多くは中国側から最大の歓迎を受けたという事実が、大きな意味を持ちます。
このような大歓迎をすることは、これまでの対日関係においても、日本以外の他国との関係においても、ありませんでした。
