I turn on the TV when I am tired, tired from people.
I watch CNN or ABC to energize myself.
I watch The Hours to help myself shed some tears.
I watch Good Will Hunting to water my fragile soul.
I watch 24 to escape so I would be completely numb with all the pains I am in.
I will watch 24 tonight with a glass of red wine in my hand.
It's one of those nights when you feel just a step away from your own tomb. And you are not afraid, you are rather at peace being so close to the end of all.
Knowing that all of this will end someday quietly and anonyously, when my mission was accomplished and it pleased God, my mind is at peace. And it gives me a reason to live another day.
