Letter 13
You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.
You heard that there is a group of people doing unpaid work helping old people in the local community.
Write a letter to the group. In your letter

tell how you heard about the group

confirm the importance of their work

give details of what you can do to help
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Soojin Kim. I am writing to apply for working in your group. Yesterday, I watched local news on TV and a story about your unselfish work was told. I was moved by all the people in your group. They are from all walks of the society, from housewives to company manager. They have work during weekdays and would like to make the precious weekend time for old people in the local community. They not only help those old people, but also make a good example for the next generation, showing them love is priceless and not materialistic at all.
Well, when I watched the program, I decided to apply for the work. I used to major in nursing in the university and working for a big hospital now. I am fully experienced at dealing with problems hppening to old people. I would like to provide free and professional treatment for them. I will do my best if you allow me to join the group.
