Dear readers,

Here is the blog about the tragedy, which happened 2 weeks ago.

In Hsinchu, my main tool of transportation is bicycle, which my TN game me.

This is cool, isn't it ?? My TN is a member of a bicycle club and really likes cycling enough to even commune on it to his office.Under the influence of him, I come to like cycling so much after coming here. Though it is true that I can’t help but use bicycle because of the inconvenience of bus, I use bicycle to go anywhere because I love cycling itself. Riding bicycle is so fun that I can refresh, feeling the wind of Hsinchu.

However, this habit led a catastrophe to me, as someone already knows,.
One day of 2 weeks ago, I didn’t have works in the morning and had lots free time.
Therefore I suddenly decided to go to Chiao-Tung university to kill time and see around the city. I already knew the way to the station from my house but I didn’t know the way from station to the university. So I checked the way briefly on google and left home at noon.

It was a pretty nice weather for cycling; not that hot and windy. When I reached around station, however, it suddenly started to rain. I don’t know why but I didn’t feel uneasy then because I had a groundless confidence that it would stop soon.

However, the rain and wind got stronger and stronger in spite of my confidence. I come to feel uneasy little by little.
What made me feel more uneasy was that I was not familiar with the way. I completely forgot the way I checked before leaving and got totally lost in the middle of the way between the university and the station.

I asked the way to people with my poor Chinese. They kindly taught me the way but I kept getting lost again and again because it’s too difficult for me to understand the explanation; I just followed to the direction they pointed.

After asking the way about 10 times, I finally reached Chiao-Tung university.
I bought two towels and rain court as soon as I arrived at Family Mart. I was totally wet and felt the eye of pity from students coming through by me.
Then, I called my friend, Leon and he came to see me soon from his dorm. He looks surprised at seeing me and told me that I was crazy to come here by bicycle today.

There was a Typhoon attacking South part of Taiwan and it was a matter of course that it doesn’t stop raining. I was so stupid and didn’t know that at all.

Ah- I need to write more about this story but it’s time to go to bed for me. I will edit this again later.
Saying the conclusion, Leon called my TN and he took me home on his car. I was so sorry for bothering them. Let me apologize here.

P.S.

Though I usually use very frank English without caring any mistakes, I tried to write this blog as formally as possible. This is because I got a very bad score at business writing class on the internet last week and wanted to practice formal writing. Because of this, it took about 3 hours for me to write this short blog and wasn't able to even finish it.
I still have long way of studying English to go. Sigh.
