I drank and did all kind of stuff on the last night until the early morning
in Chiang Mai with the Griffin bar family.
「おまえがラオスに出発するまでこのバーは閉めんぞ」とスカイさんに言われた。
"I won't close the bar until you go out from Chiang Mai" says Mr. Sky.
「また帰ってこい！いつでもここで待ってるぞ」
"Come back! We'll always be waiting for you"
午前６時ぐらいに僕はファミリーにGriffin barの外から見送られながら
In around 6am in the morning, I took off towards Laos while my Griffin bar family
ラオスに向かった。。ていうかまだ寝てない。。
waves goodbye... Oh yeah I haven't slept yet...
まだ皆寝ている時間だから、道路は空っぽ。
The road was empty because everyone's still asleep around this time.
しょうがないから、チェンマイのバス・ターミナルまで２０分ぐらい歩いた。
So I decided to walk towards Chiang Mai's bus terminal for 20minutes.
すると後ろからトゥクトゥクがやって来た。ほんとは赤いトラックに乗って、バス・ターミナル
A tuktuk came by later on. To be honest, I wanted to get a ride from the red truck and
まで乗っけてもらおうと思ってたんですが（トゥクトゥクより数倍安いんでw）
take me to the bus terminal because its 2 times cheaper than the tuktuk..!
まだ酔っているし、寝てないし。。というしょうもない言い訳を自分にいい擦り付けて
But different excuses came across my mind like, Oh I'm drunk, Oh I haven't had no sleep yet
トゥクトゥクに乗りました。
and decided to hop onto the tuktuk.
２０分ぐらい走り続けてチェンマイのバス・ターミナルに到着。
After running for 20min on the road, I arrive at Chiang Mai's bus terminal.
あぁー早くラオス行きのバスに乗って寝たいと思いながら午前６時４０分の
Thinking of getting straight to sleep as soon as the bus comes, I brought the 6:40am
チェンコーン行きの切符を買ってバスが来るまで待った。
bus ticket to Chiang Khong and waited for it to come.
しばらく待つと「このバス・ターミナルにやってくるチェンコーン行きのバスが故障してしまって
After waiting for a while, a Thai girl who works for the ticket service comes by
２時間ぐらい待たないと行けません」と日本語でカタコトのタイ人のネエちゃんに言われた。
and says in broken Japanese, "I'm really sorry for the inconvenience bus going to Chiang Khong broke down while coming to Chiang Mai's bus terminal so you have to wait for another 2 hours"
「ふざけんなっ！ちくしょう！」と心の中で叫んだ。
"F*ck you! Damn it!" which I shouted in my head,
イライラしながら３時間ぐらい待ってようやくバスが来て、乗客。
I had to wait for 3 hours while being impatient and the bus comes and I get on.
一番後ろの席に乗って、チェンコーンに到着するまで即爆睡。
Got to the back seat of the bus and went straight to sleep
until the bus arrived at Chiang Khong.

いやーーチェんコンに着きました！！
Yeeesss I'm now in Chiang Khong!!
夕方に着いたせいか・・人が少なくて、夕焼けを照らすタイとラオスを国境する川も
Possibly because I arrived here in late afteroon, there aren't much people and makes your feeling calm and fresh while looking at the reflection of the sunset across the river
すぐそこにあってノドカでいい気分だ。ここに住んでいる村人と話していると愛想が伝わってくる。
which connects the boarders of Thai and Laos. You can feel their warmth when you talk to these village people.
寝る場所を探していたからすぐそこの両替屋のじいさんに訪ねてみた。
I asked a foreign currency exchange guy where I can find a place to stay.
「ここからまっすぐ歩くとパパイヤ・ヴィレッジと言う日本人宿があるんじゃ」と言われるままに
"If you walk straight ahead, you'll see a Japanese catered guesthouse called Papaya Village"
行ってみたらその宿を発見して１泊泊めてもらうことにした。
and as I walked as he told me to, I found the place and decided to stay for 1 night.
最近、東南アジアを回っているとけっこう耳にしている
I met this women who's being rumoured quite a lot as "Chiang Mai's Hiroko"
チェンコーンのひろ子さんと会って、
if your Japanese who travel saround South East Asia,
その人の娘さんと遊びながらここの生活とかについて話したりした。
and we talked about life in Chiang Khong while playing some games with her young child.
自転車を借りて、チェンコーンを回った。
I borrowed their bicycle and rode around Chiang Khong.
暖かい風に当たりながら、赤く染まった夕焼けが静まって
I saw the red filled sunset fade away while feeling the warm winds which come from the opposite direction of where I'm peddling,
暗い夜に豹変するのを見た。夕焼けを独り占めした気分。。だがどこか少しだけ切ない。
until it transformed into the dark night. I felt I had the sunset to myself.. but felt a bit sad for some reason.
チェンコーンで一人の夜を過ごした。
I spent the night in Chiang Khong by myself.
