It didn't take the A's very long to tie the game in the ninth as Seth Smith drove in Josh Reddick and Josh Donaldson who both singled. After two quick outs, Coco Crisp, one of the many comedians in baseball, took to the stage and delivered like he has all season with a hit to right field. Think about Crisp for a second, a player who everyone thought career was over and had nothing left in him. They believed he would rot in Oakland, instead he's making memories. I realize the A's face Justin Verlander tomorrow, but I feel like I've seen this story before in sports. The A's are everything right with sports, and they are doing it with nobodies on the diamond making the narrative that much better. These men are going out there playing like boys at the sandlot with the refusal to lose.
