カナダ永住権か市民権を持つ人が配偶者/パートナーのスポンサーになって永住権を申請する場合のルールがまた変わりました。
正確に言うと、申請方法や審査方法が変わったわけではなく、最初に付与される永住権は２年の限定付きになる、ということのようです。
今後は永住権を得た日から２年間、スポンサーとなった相手と同居したことを証明できない場合は永住権が剥奪されるかもしれないそうです。
（虐待の事実が認められる場合、あるいはスポンサーが死去した場合をのぞく）
この新ルールは申請の時点でスポンサーとの関係が２年以下かつ子どもがおらず、2012年10月25日以降に申請書が受理された場合に適用されます。
つまりは２年後の更新時に再度、関係を証明する書類を提出しなきゃいけなくなるってことですかね？
きっとその際またがっぽりお金を取られることになるんだろうなぁ・・・
お金＋証明書類を集めるという手間を考えるとクラっとします
って、めちゃめんどくさい！と思ってしまいますが、こういった制限ってカナダだけではないようです。
日本では永住ビザを申請するためには10年以上在留することが要求され、配偶者ビザを持っている人でも３年以上住まないと申請できないようなので、それと比べるとカナダはユルユルだったんですね。結婚しただけでポンっと永住権もらえちゃって、さらに３年住んだら市民権の申請ができちゃうんですから
それでも、めんどくさくなる前に申請しといてよかった(＾▽＾;

The spouse or partner must live in a legitimate relationship with their sponsor for two years from the day on which they receive their permanent resident status in Canada. The status of the sponsored spouse or partner may be revoked if they do not remain in the relationship."

Effective October 25, 2012, sponsored spouses or partners must now live together in a legitimate relationship with their sponsor for two years from the day they receive permanent residence status in Canada.
If you are a spouse or partner being sponsored to come to Canada, this applies to you if:
- You are being sponsored by a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
- You have been in a relationship for two years or less with your sponsor
- You have no children in common
- Your application was received on or after October 25, 2012
