Chili Disease Treatment

1. Chilli Damping Off

Chilli Damping Off disease is caused by the infection of Pythium aphanidermatum (Eds.) Fitzp.

Symptoms:

Chilli Damping Off disease is the main disease of Chilli seedling stage, which often causes rotten seeds and seedlings to die.

Occurrence Regularity:

1. Low temperature, heavy rain, and insufficient light are easy to cause diseases.

2. Poor drainage, poor ventilation, insufficient light and high humidity between the seedbeds are easy to cause diseases.

3. The seedbed soil contains a lot of organic matter, and the application of immature manure is not conducive to the rooting and development of seedlings, which is easy to cause diseases.

Solution

CHICO has accumulated rich experience and could offer the corresponding high-class solutions, e.g.: DIPMA 28%SC.

2. Chilli Gray Mold

Chilli Gray Mold is caused by the infection of Botrytis cinerea, which mainly damages Chilli seedlings. It is one of the common diseases of Chilli in greenhouses.

Symptoms:

At the early stage of the disease, the apex of the cotyledons turned yellow, and then expanded to the young stems bearing the cotyledons; then the stems appeared brown or dark brown irregular lesions. Usually the seedlings break off from the diseased part and die. In a humid environment, the disease grows gray mold, that is, the conidiophore and conidia of the pathogen.

Occurrence Regularity:

1. The disease mostly occurs in the planting environment with low temperature, heavy rain, and few light hours.

2. Too dense planting, excessive growth, poor ventilation and light transmission, and excessive nitrogen fertilizer application are peculiarly prone to disease.

3. Fields connected to Lettuce, Celery, and Strawberry are susceptible to disease, as these crops themselves are prone to gray mold.

Solution

CHICO has accumulated rich experience and could offer the corresponding high-class solutions, e.g.: CURER.

3. Chilli Root Rot

Chilli Root Rot disease is caused by the infection of Fusarium solani, which mainly damages the rhizomes and vascular bundles of Chilli.

Symptoms:

In the early stage of the disease, the leaves of the plant will wilt during the day and recover in the morning and evening, especially the top leaves; when the disease become severes, the plants will be stunted and short, the roots will rot, finally, the plants will die but the leaves are still green.

Occurrence Regularity:

1. Low-ridge cultivation, high planting density or continuous cropping with nightshade vegetables are easy to cause diseases. Improper irrigation method, amount and time of irrigation can also cause Chilli root rot. Heavy flooding or flooding on cloudy days can easily lead to disease.

2. The root rot pathogen of repeated cropping Chilli can be parasitic on other vegetables, and the spores of the pathogen can survive in the soil for 3-5 years, becoming the main source of infection in the following year.

Solution

CHICO has accumulated rich experience and could offer the corresponding high-class solutions, e.g.: CONQUER, DINAZO 32.5% SC.
