【新作絵本『ぼくのメガネ』より、重要人物❣️】
Chica.y.Chicaの新作絵本『ぼくのメガネ』の
最後の方に出てくるこのメガネ屋のおじさんは、
この物語の中の重要な人物の一人です。
初めにサムがメガネを買う場面には
登場していません。
サムがいろいろなことに気づいて、
返品しに行った時に、初めて登場します。
この優しいおじさんは、
サムが一番初めにメガネを買う時、
止めたり、アドバイスをしたりしませんでした。
それは、サムの自由ですから。
例え、イヤイヤメガネを選んでいたとしても、
それは本人の気づきが必要だと考えているからです。
私たちもそうですよね。
いろいろなことを前もって忠告されたり、
教えてもらっていても、
その意味を理解できなかったり、
心から納得できなかったりしますよね。
何かにぶち当たったり、
失敗したりした時に初めて心の底から理解したり、
気づきがあったりします。
このメガネ屋のおじさんも、
温かい目でサムのことを見守っていたのだと思います。
そして、
「早く気づいて良かったですね。」
とこの場面でようやくメガネのことを教えてくれたのです。
子供達に対して、親や先生などの立場になると、
ついつい先走って色々口を出してしまうことがありますが、
このメガネ屋のおじさんのように
温かく見守っていけたらなぁと思います。
「かわいい子には旅をさせよ」ですね。
【From the new picture book "My Glasses," an important character】
The owner of this eyeglass shop, who appears towards the end of our new picture book "My Glasses," is one of the significant characters in the story.
Initially, the owner doesn't appear in the scene where Sam buys the glasses. It's only when Sam realizes various things and goes to return them that the owner makes their first appearance.
I believe this kind owner didn't try to stop or advise Sam when he bought his first pair of glasses. That's because it's up to Sam. Even if Sam chose No-No glasses , the owner believes that it's essential for Sam to come to that realization on his own.
It's the same for all of us, right? Even if we are warned or taught about various things in advance, there are times when we can't understand the meaning or truly agree with it from the bottom of our hearts.
It's only when we encounter something or make a mistake that we truly understand and have realizations from the depths of our hearts.
I think the owner of this eyeglass shop was also watching over Sam with warm eyes. And finally, in this scene, they told Sam about the glasses, saying, "I'm glad you realized it quickly."
When we become parents or teachers for children, we tend to jump ahead and say various things, but I hope we can watch over them warmly, just like the owner of this eyeglass shop.
As the saying goes, 「かわいいこにはたびをさせよ」”If you love your child, send him/her out into the world.”
