こんにちは！
英語で日記を書き始めたのは2013年。
以来、何か言いたいことを常に「英語ではなんていうのかな？」と思いながら
日々、心の中で英作文をしていたのですが、
何度も何度も「うーん、これって？？？」って思うことがあったんです。
それは、「（夕暮れだけど）まだ日がある」とか、「まだ明るい」ってなんていうのかな？
これまで何度も聞く機会があったんですけど、なんだか今一つ納得してなくて。
明るいを調べると、 bright
でも、bright って、なんだか まぶしいような明るさ
っていうイメージがあって、夕暮れだけど、まだ日の光が残っているって感じじゃないよなぁって。。。
それが！なんとこの度！ オンラインレッスンで出会った先生に見事に解決してもらいました。
その先生は、わたしがもどかしそうに説明する様子を見て、
「ああ。大丈夫。brightは ”まぶしい” じゃないよ。」って！！！！
そう。そこだけ日本語で！！！
えーーー？！なんで？ どうして日本語がわかるの？しかもマイナーな形容詞「まぶしい」
結局、私の長年の疑問の答えはこちら。
It is still bright.
There is the light.
There is the sunlight.
これでいいらしい。はぁぁぁぁ。すっきりしたぁ。
で、「どうして ”まぶしい” なんて形容詞知ってたの？」と伺ったら、
日本在住のイギリス人ユーチューバーさんのチャンネルを紹介されました。
ほほー！ そのチャンネルは別に語学学習用ではないんですけれど、
そこから日本文化や言葉を知ったっていうのが、イマドキだなぁと思いました。
見てみたら、チャンネル登録者数も多く、動画もとってもきれい。私もいろんな意味で参考になります！

There is one question that how I should express the scenery before sunset.
Can I say it is still bright?
In my image, the adjective bright menas TOO BRIGHT.
That is why I have been feeling that the word "bright" is not suitable in this situation.
This time! One teacher I met through the online lesson solved my question!
He could understand what I had wanted to ask and said "Oh bright does not mean "Mabushii""!
Whaaaaat?! How did you know that Japanese adjective "Mabushii" ?!?! which is not so popular.
And the solutions of my longtime question are here.

Ohhhh. It is clear!
I asked him how he knew the non-popular word "Mabushii".
He said he learned from a YouTube channel run by a British guy living in Japan.
The channel is not for studying language.
However, he could learn Japanese from that YouTube. It is so cutting edge!
The channel is so informative and beautiful! I can learn a lot of things from it!
