In the ESL 2 Class we started with learning how to figure out syllables. They can be a bit tricky at first, but vowels tend to work as a clue for figuring out how many syllables a word may have. So we used that technique to double check our answers.

After that, we practiced skip counting by 5s through an activity that also involved cutting and pasting (fine motor skills) and sequencing. To wrap up the writing aspect of the class, we practiced writing the sight word "eight," and reading the sentence "There are eight ants." After that, we drew eight more insects (bugs).

Finally, to wrap up the class, we focused a bit more on Halloween. We read an online book called, "Happy Halloween!" and which is an A Level book, then we moved to the song "Monster Stomp!"
