For the Summer ESL K - 1st Classes there was a focus on writing the alphabet and basic sight words like "hot" or "car."

The students also learned how to create simple sentences like "The car is white." They talked about animals that they liked, what they like to do at the playground, and other such writing activities that allowed them to express themselves and their thoughts.

We also reviewed shapes and colors, learned about different kinds of traffic lights and signs, and studied basic addition and subtraction based math problems.

Other activities included cutting activities for fine motor skills, memory based activities, and activities centered on categorization. There were also some activities based on story sequencing, such as sequencing the story of Little Red Riding Hood.
