This past Friday the children here at C'ena had a little American history lesson. They listened attentatively to the story about Christpher Columbus' journey to America and his search for land.
While looking at the pictures they familarized themselves with the words "water," "land," and "ship." They also praticed counting in English "one, two, three!" And learned the names of Columbus' ships - the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. The story concluded with Columbus getting to know the Native Americans and them all sharing food together.
