本日は過去の否定文の作り方について書かせていただきます。
❶be動詞の過去の否定文は、was, were のあとに not をおく。
（肯定文）The game was exciting.
（否定文）The game was not exciting.
The story wasn't true.
（その話は本当ではなかった）
❷一般動詞の場合は、did のあとに not をおく。主語の人称・数に関係なく did not を用いて、そのあとは、動詞の原形がくる。
（肯定文）Tomoko came to the party.
（否定文）Tomoko did not come to the party.
Last night I didn't study at all.
（昨晩私は全く勉強しなかった）
※では、一通り終えたので確認問題です。
（１）( Was/Ware/Did) you enjoy the movie?
ーYes. It was an exciting story.
（２）( Was Clark/ Who was/ Did Clark) the best player
on the team?
ーClark was.
（３）Nick (wasn't/ weren't/ didn't) write a letter to his
brother.
答え
（１）Did
（２）Who was
（３）didn't
