The Carp beat the Saitama Lions 3-1 at Hiroshima Municipal Stadium on Thursday.
Starter Colby Lewis(7-4) worked seven strong innings, and got the win.
He allowed one run and five hits with one walk, while striking out ten.

Mike Schultz(1-0) pitched a scoreless inning.

Kuriyama struck out swinging.

Officials of the Central League said Thursday that Hiroshima Carp infielder Scott Seabol was taken off the 28-man active roster, and pitcher Ben Kozlowski was added to the active roster.

vs Chiba on May 26

The Carp defeated the Chiba Marines 8-4 on Monday.
Mike Schultz pitched a scoreless two innings.
He allowed no runs, no hits and one walk.
