Just a share on my visit to Tomi Sushi - Parco, Singapore as a friend recommended me this Grade A restaurant. As I visit different countries, I really try good food to experience different cultures. But I was surprised and disappointed with this visit. The food was good but the service was pretty bad and disappointing. There was this one person (which I assume was the manager - since he was very angry) who reprimanded a staff in front of a dining customer. Unfortunately, I was the dining customer. Ofcourse, that person caught the attention of some customers as well. I pity the staff being reprimanded as she was only doing her job. We all commit mistakes at one point. But, our superiors should be correcting us privately where no other people could hear. This is the professional way of handling people. I have had handled several people as well and I work in the same business, Customer Service. Sales do not only mean good food. But good Customer Service as well. But the superiors there did not give justice to the good food that they serve. I hope that the manager (I hope I am right), or who ever that person is, would be more sensitive enough to talk appropriately with fellow workers and be discrete in reprimanding other staff so other customers would not be disturbed with their dining experience, more so see how they treat their subordinates. You should be taught a lesson on properly handling people. And to the girl who was reprimanded, I say you handled it well by not getting too emotional with the incident. Too bad I was not able to get their names. But overall, I had to cut my dining experience as I was no longer enjoying my stay. I hope that when I get back and visit the country again, I shall not experience the same treatment.
