I finally got better and went back to work this week
It was my first time in a while working 5 days a week
I feel I'm blessed that I like my job.
I became an RN in which was my dream since I was 8.
Then, I became an RN again in .
まさか自分が海外に移住することになるなんて思ってもいなかったし、そして、まさか海外でナースをするなんてさらに考えたこともなかった。
カナダに初めて来た時、英語なんて全くできませんでした〜
I never ever thought about living abroad or working as an RN in abroad.
Also, when I first came to Canada, I couldn't speak English at all
人生、何が起こるか本当に分かりませんね。
でもどんなことが起こっても、できるだけ楽しく生きていけたらいいですね。
You can never predict what would happen in you life.
But whatever happens in life, we all want thrive in life.
今日は、そんな風に少しでも人生を楽しく生きていくためには何が必要か？ということを教えてくれたOくんです。

Oくんを呼ぶと、面白いステップをして出て来てくれました。跳ねるような感じで、前の右足と左足を差し替えるかのようにダンスしているようです。とてもお茶目で愉快な感じでのする子です。
お写真では真面目な感じに見えたので、少しびっくりしました。頭を少し横に傾げて「何？」と少し私のことを茶化すような感じで見ています。とても楽しい子なのだと思います。
When I called him, he showed up like dancing by hopping with his front legs. He looks very funny and unique.
My impression from his picture at first glance was a serious boy so I was kind of surprised.
He tilts his head in playful way and acting like "what can I do for you?" while looking at me straight. He must be a funny boy.
分からない事があると、何度も首を傾げてじーっと見つめてきます。ステップはあまり見た事ないですが、嬉しいとまわっています。
He tilts his head and stars at me when he wonders something.
I don't usually see him dance but he often makes a circle in front of me when is happy.
自己紹介をしてA Cを始めました。
I started AC after introducing myself.
：Oくんはとても面白い感じの子ですね？
You must be a funny boy.
：うん、そうだよ。人生（犬生？）は愉快に楽しく生きるのがいいんだよ！
Yep. We all should live life with happy and funny attitude.
：どうして？
Why?
：そんなの、決まってるでしょ。楽しくない人生なんてつまらないでしょ？何のために生きてるの？
It's so obvious. It's boring if you don't have joy in your life. What is your reason to live otherwise?
：真面目に人生を生きるために生きているっていう人もいると思いますよ。
Well, there must be people who live life very seriously.
：そんなの、ダメダメ！
楽しくない人生も楽しい人生も同じくらいの長さがあるなら、たくさん笑ったもん勝ちだよ！
No way, that's not good!
If a life lasts about the same length regardless of how much joy you have in your life, it's better to have MORE laughter in life!
：確かに、その方が得した気分ね。
That's actually true.
：どうせ、笑っていたって、悲しいことも辛いことも嫌なこともある。でも、普段笑いのある時間を過ごしている人は、そんな中でも人生って悪いことばかりじゃないって分かるから、立ち直りも早いんだよ。
You'll have sadness and hardship in your life anyway regardless. But if you have laughter in your life you'll understand that life isn't that bad so you can overcome hardship easier.
：なるほどね、そんな風に考えたことは無かったです。
I see. I've never thought like that.
：人はね、笑いってその時一瞬のものだと思ってるんだ。でも、違うんだよ。笑いは人に人生の楽しみと希望を与えられるんだよ。笑いをたくさん知っていれば知っているほど、人生を楽に捉えらて嫌なことがあっても少しの気晴らしさえすれば後はのらりくらりと進めるんだ。
Human thinks a laugh is just for the moment, but that's not true. Laughter will give you enjoyment and hope in your life.
More laughter you have in your life easier it gets to get over the hardship in your life. You only need some time to refresh your mind and can move on with life soon after.
お散歩も、ご飯の時も、いつも１００％なので、楽しむことにも１００％なんだな〜と思いました！
He gives his all to walks and meals. He is always 100%.
I thought he is also 100% to enjoy life.
：そんなんだね。
I see.
：だって誰も『こんなに楽しい人生、早く終わってしまえ！』って思わないでしょ。だから、嫌なこととか辛いこともちゃんと乗り越えられるようになるの。人生をまた楽しもう！って思える日が来るの。
人間社会って嫌なことの塊なんでしょ？そんなところで、楽しみを奪ったら、全員不幸にしかならないからね。
Because no one thinks "I want to waste my joyful life and make it shorter." so you can overcome sadness and hardships in life if you know laughter.
You'll soon think "I'll enjoy my life again!" .
Isn't human society a full of hardship? If you lose happiness from your daily life, you'll only become miserable.
：本当にそうだね。では、Oくんがこのお家にきた使命は何ですか？
You're so right. Thank you for that.

：ちょっと言うの恥ずかしいな。（笑）でも言うね。
I'm a bit embarrassed to say it (lol) but I'll tell you.
：うん、お願いします。

：それはね、ママとパパを幸せにすること！
That is to make my dad and mom happy!
：素敵だね！でも、どうやって？
That's very nice of you! But how?
：僕はこの家の子供なんだよ。この家を明るくしてるの。
I am the child in this house. I am lifting the spirits up.
このご家庭は、ご夫婦お二人だけでお住まいですか？もしお子様がいらしたとしても、既に独立なさってお家を出ていらっしゃるのかと思います。
Is this a couple-only household? Even if they have child(ren), their child(ren) must be adult and out of home.
子供が二人いますが、成人しています。
I have 2 kids and they‘re both adults.
：どうして、この家の子供でいることで、この家を明るくできるの？
Why can you lift their spirits up by being the child in this home?
：まず、二人の会話が増えるでしょ〜、僕を見て一緒に笑ってるでしょ〜、一緒に僕のために色々計画を立ててるでしょ〜、僕の笑顔が見たくて二人で試行錯誤してる〜。
First of all, they’ll talk more, they laugh togethre because of me, they plan something together, they do things together to try to make me smile.
とても嬉しそうに、でも、少し照れくさそうに話してくれました。ご夫婦お二人でOくんを連れて旅行の計画かドッグランなどへ行く計画をされていますか？そんな雰囲気を感じます。
He looks very happy and a bit blushed at the same time.
Do you plan to take him to a trip or dogrun or something?
I get that kind of feelings.
年に２回のグランピングは家族みんなで行くことになっているので、その時はみんなで計画を立てています。
その通りです！
That‘s right! We go glamping twice a year and we plan together as a family!
：それは嬉しいね。Oくんは普段どうやってママとパパを笑わせているの？
That must make you happy, eh? How do you make your dad and mom always?
：それはね、二人の前でくるくる回ってみたり、言われたことを（人からのコマンド）聞いたりするの。そうすると、パパもママもよく笑ってくれるよ。
I make circles in front of them and listen to their commands. They look very happy when I do that.
Oくんはたくさんのコマンドを知っているような気がします。おそらくパパさとママさんがたくさん教えたのだと思います。
それをするとお二人はとても喜んで笑顔になるようです。
I feel that he knows a lot of commands. You (mom and dad) probably taught him a lot of it.
When he follows commands, you'll show your happiness for him.
いい子にできた時はたくさん褒めてきました！
I praise him a lot when he does well!

好きな食べ物は何ですか？
That's great. Ok, I'll ask you the next question.

：おやつ！（大きな声で、ハッキリと！）

：おやつの中でも何が好き？
What treats do you like the most?
言葉では来ません。が、さつまいもというイメージがきました。
He sent me the image of a Japanese yam.
：さつまいもかな？
Is it a Japanese yam?
大好物です！
That's his favorite!
：そう。あの甘い感じと食感が好き。いつも食べたい、もっと食べたい！
Yes! I love the hint of sweetness and texture of it. I want to eat it more and everyday!
：多分、食べ過ぎに注意してたくさんはあげないんだと思うよ。
I guess your family must be cautious how much to give.
：そうなのかなぁ。でももう少しくれても良くない？
Is that so? But they can give me more, can't they?
いくらでも食べるので
適当なところで辞めちゃいます。
He eats endlessly so I just stop when I feel it's enough.
：普段どのくらいもらっているのか分からないけど、何でも食べ過ぎは良くないからね。
I have no idea how much you usually get, but it's never be good if you get too much.
：ふ〜ん。じゃあ、次に好きなチキンちょうだい。
Alright. Can they give me my 2nd favorite Chicken then?
茹でたチキン、という感覚です。多くの場合、ワンちゃんは「チキン」という単語を言いません。おそらく、その名前を知らないのだと思います。が、Oくんはこの言葉を言ったので、ご家族が教えたのか、はたまた自然と学んだのかわかりませんが、彼はチキンを知っています。面白いですね。
I got the feeling of boiled chicken here.
In many cases, dogs don't say the word "Chicken".
I assume that dogs don't know the word. However O said it.
He knows the word. I don't know how he learned it but I thought it's interesting.
Oくんは食いしん坊ですか？食べることが大好きな感覚が伝わってきます。
Does he love to eat? I feel he does.
かなりの食いしん坊です！
「チキン食べる〜？」と茹でたささみをあげるのでそれかな〜？と思います。
He is a big eater!
I say "Do you want to eat Chicken?" so maybe this is how he learned the word.
：このA Cを通じてお伝えします。でも、だからと言ってもっとたくさんもらえるとは限りません。Oくんのことを考えて、どのくらいあげるかはパパさんとママさんが考えてくれますからね。
I'll let your family know through this AC. But there is no guarantee that you'll get more. Your family will decide how much to give you considering your health.
：うん、そうだよね。分かってる。でも、もっと欲しい。
Ok, I understand but I want more.
やはり、愉快な子ですね。お話ししていてこちらが笑ってしまいます。
He is really funny. He gives me smile.
印象では、彼は様々な種類の食べ物をもらっていると思います。しかも、食べるのが大好きなので、どれも嬉しそうに美味しそうに食べている印象です。好き嫌いはないのだと思いますが、中でも好きなのがこの二つなのでしょうね。
I feel that he is given many variety of food.
Because he loves to eats, he eats anything and everything you give him.
He isn't picky at all but he LOVES especially these 2 (above).
犬が食べられるものは野菜なども色々とあげています。なんでも食べますが、特にさつまいもは大好物です！
I feed him any food that dogs can eat including veggies. He eats anything but Japanese yam is his absolute favorite.

Do you have anything you want your dad and mom to do for you?
：いつも楽しく笑っていてほしい。
I want them to smile and laugh always.
：そのためにOくんがしていることは何？
What do you do for that?
: 僕はちゃんと二人の気持ちをみてるよ。
二人が悲しい時はその時間を少しあげた後、もうそこかな抜け出さなきゃいけないよって時になったら、そばに行って楽しいことをしてあげてるんだ。それでまた笑顔が戻るように。
まずは、悲しみを噛み締めることも必要でしょ？でも、それが長くなると、どんどん抜け出せなくなるんだ。そこまで行かない前で、こっちに戻ってこなきゃダメ。だから、そこで僕はおどけて見せて気持ちを持ち上げさせてる。
I'm always tuned to your feelings.
When you're sad, I'll give you a little bit of space and time to understand it and swallow it.
When it's time to get out of it, I'll go near you and do something silly to get your smile back.
I know you need time to understand the situation. But if the time gets too long it'll get harder to get out of it. Before you cross the boundary you have to come back here. So, I do silly things then and lift your spirit up.
映像を見せてくれました。ママさん？の前に行ってクルッと回って見せた後、まるで何かを話しかけるようにお顔をしっかりとみています。「大丈夫だよ。また元気になれるよ。」と言っているようです。
He showed me this.
He goes in front of his mom(?) and do a circle dance, then looks at her straight as if he is saying
"Everything will be alright. You'll get your strength back."
そうします。くるっと回って私の顔をぺろぺろしにきます。
That's what he does. He makes a circle and comes to me to lick my face.
また、時々、ぬいぐるみか何かのおもちゃ咥えて持ってきて「投げて」や、「これをあげるから元気出して」と言っているようです。
Also, he somestimes brings his toy to you and asks "throw it for me" and/or "I'll give you my favorite toy so get better soon." to cheer you up.
『たぶん、Oが遊んであげてるって思ってるよね〜笑』と、よく
：こんな風に支えてもらえていたら、パパさんもママさんも嬉しくなっちゃうね。
I know that your dad and mom must be happy knowing you support them this way.
：そうかな？僕もパパとママと一緒に居れて嬉しいよ（笑顔）

：パパへ。
パパはすごく頑張り屋さんです。体力も気力もあるから大体何でもこなしてしまうんだけど、時々は休まないとダメです。
時には、ゆっくりとバカになる時間を作ってください。
人生は笑いが大事です！真面目に生きるだけでは損しますからね。何もしないグータラな1日をたまには作ってください。
For dad,
You're very hard working. You have energy in both physically and mentally so you can make things work most of the time but you need to rest too.
Make time to relax yourself sometimes.
Laughing is the key for living good life! Don't take everything seriously. You need to make a lazy day sometimes.
ママへ。
ママは気持ちがとてもセンシティブなので少しの事で心が折れそうになってしまいますね。
世の中、そこまで大それたことはそんじょやそっとのことでは起きません。ママが考えているより物事はシンプルなのです。だから、何でも自分のせいにするのはやめてね。
ママは自分で思っている以上にちゃんとできているし、周りはママがそんなの気にしているなんて全く思っていません。だって、そんなに深刻なことだと思っていないからです。
だから、もっと楽に、楽しく毎日を過ごしてね。
For mom,
You're a sensitive person so you feel overwhelmed quite easily.
There isn't many things that are actually a big deal. Life is simpler than you think. So, pls stop blaming yourself for everything.
You're doing much better than you give yourself credit. People around you do not realize how seriously you take things because the matter isn't as big as you think.
Pls live more relaxed and try to have fun everyday.
最後に、僕はこのお家に来れて本当に幸せです。二人に可愛がってもらって、大切にされて、これ以上欲しいものなんてないよ。ありがとう。

Oくんは周りを楽しませて明るくしてくれる子ですね。お話しをしていてとても楽しかったです。とは言え、天真爛漫というほどのおバカさんキャラでもないのです。しっかりと、理由があって周りを楽しませようとしてくれているのです。
He is a very funny and happy-spirit boy. It was fun talking to him. However, he isn't a typical happy-go-lucky who is aimilessly funny. He has a goal to achieve in mind by being funny.
彼の年齢はわかりませんが、身体的な年齢がいくつであったとしても、自分はこの家の中の“子供”なので、それに相応しく明るく楽しく快活に過ごしています。二人の子供でいることにとても幸せを感じています。
I don't know his age but regardless of it, his role is to be the child in this home so he acts axactly like it. He is very happy to be this dad and mom's baby.
最初の方の、笑いをたくさん知っていればいるほど、人生の困難を切り抜けやすくなる、というのは私にとって目から鱗でした。
言われてみればそうなのですが、そのように考えたことがありませんでした。
Earlier, he told that "More laughter you have in your life easier it gets to get over the hardship in your life." This is something I learn from him.
Come to think of it, I totally understand that but I just never tought that way.
