今日は総大会の最終日でした。
今日はジェフリー・R・ホランド長老のお話が特によかったなあと思います。
救い主イエス・キリストが私たちの罪(過ちの方がピンとくるでしょうか？)だけでなく、苦しみ、悩みも背負ってくださったことを改めて思い起こすことができました。
誰も自分の苦しみ、悩みを理解してくれないように思える時はあると思いますが、イエス・キリストはそれを理解してくださいます。もし今、このブログを見ている方の中で自分一人だけが苦しいと思っている方がいらっしゃったら、イエス・キリストが受けた苦痛を思い出してください。そしてその苦痛は自分のためであることを信じてください。
｢彼は侮られて人に捨てられ、悲しみの人で、病を知っていた。また顔をおおって忌みきらわれる者のように、彼は侮られた。われわれも彼を尊ばなかった。
まことに彼はわれわれの病を負い、われわれの悲しみをになった。しかるに、われわれは思った、彼は打たれ、神にたたかれ、苦しめられたのだと。
しかし彼はわれわれのとがのために傷つけられ、われわれの不義のために砕かれたのだ。彼はみずから懲らしめをうけて、われわれに平安を与え、その打たれた傷によって、われわれはいやされたのだ。｣(口語訳聖書 イザヤ書 53章3-5節)

Today was the last day of the General Conference.
I liked the address of the Elder Jeffery R. Holland today.
His address reminded me of the fact that Savior Jesus Christ carried not only our sins but also sorrows and sufferings.
There is a time when we feel no one understands our sorrows and sufferings, but Jesus Christ DOES understand your feeling. If you are currently feeling that way, please remember the afflictions of Jesus Christ. Please have faith that the affliction is for YOU!
'He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.'(Isaiah 53:3-5)
