昨日はステーク大会の1日目でした。
18歳以上の教会員が集まり、選ばれた話者のお話を聞きました。
内容はイエス･キリストの教えに従った生活をすることを通して学んだことや感じたことなのですが、いろいろな立場の方からお話を伺えますので、いい勉強になります。
ここ数年はそのお話を英語に通訳する割り当てを受けていたのですが、今回はその割り当てがないので、お話を聞くことに集中しました。
通訳として必要とされるのもいいのですが、時にはこうしてお話を聞くのに集中できる機会も必要ですね。
Yesterday was the first of the Stake conference.
Members over 18 years old gathered together to listen to the selected speakers selected from the local members.
They shared what they learned or felt as they follow the teaching of Jesus Christ. It is good to hear them as they are in the differentcircumstances.
I have been assigned to translate these talks these couple of years, but I do not have one this time, so I concentrated on the talks.
It is good to be needed as a translator, but it is good to have opportunities to concentrate on the talks.
