Well, it was a national holiday, and was such a nice, warm day out - so what did we do?

Hint 1

G has given up on the idea of going outside. He has settled nicely with his beloved beer.

Hint 2

Both Kai and G are bored out of their mind, so much so that they started this fight between turtle (kai) and tortoise (G).

Yep. We were watching the final of the World Baseball Classic where Japan fought and won against Cuba!

"I am still bored (and Daddy is drinking away - great excuse for drinking from the middle of the day!)"

"Such a super day!"

We went to Shinjuku-Gyoen for a playdate with Miyu-chan family today.

First thing first - playing with bubbles.

No, Kai, you have to blow, not suck in. No, no drinking.

After chasing after bubbles and completely exhausted, Kai takes a rest on Daddy.

Can you see some bubbles?

Now, some more activities. Miyu's mum is showing off her jumping talent.

"Kai, can you see a carp there?"

"Yes yes.''

We had such a nice Saturday afternoon. Thank you very much, Miyu-chan and Michiko!

This Morning, at the breakfast table.

A happy kiddo with a piece of an apple.

Now, he is intending to smile, his expression is a bit forced....

The latest work by Mr. Lego-Master

There was also an evil version. Quite horrifying.

After watering the pots of flowers, he noticed some dripping water out of the pots.

Here, he is studying what's going on.

Needless to say, he got really dirty and wet.

Finally, a nice warm Sunday morning.

We made a small trip to Maihama, where Kai got acquainted with some pieces of abstract art...

Inspired, he decided to become a dog.

One of those moments when your own kid's face looks a little bit unfamiliar.

Something about those full cheeks...

A Buddha? Daibutsu?

Kai is into helping me and G nowdays.

Of course, it doesn't necessarily turn out helpful when he is being helpful.

However, he was getting quite good at helping G clear out dishes.

"Here you go, Daddy!"

"See, I can carry 3 dishes at the same time!"

So, Kai had to say good bye to Nain and Taid - as you can easily imagine, he was not happy at all.

In fact, he was quite upset when their taxi left our house...

So what did I do?

Well, I called the very useful emergency number....and here you go.

Japanese grandpa playing train with Kai.

Now, Kai is going through a tunnel (according to Grandpa) - one really happy boy here.
