A pretty good movie. Movie revolves around a typical American teenage girl who just got her own personal laptop for her birthday. She starts getting involved in the personals website - aka 出会い系サイト or social netowrking websites
Lucy, just 14 or so, meets Charlie, a high school athlete online. They start talking 24/7 just like any love-struck teenager would. When Lucy's brother goes for college, her parents tag along and send the brother off to his college.
this is when Lucy becomes adventurous and meets a man named Charlie who is well over high school...college, or even graduate student. he is ...some 35yr old man.
Basically Lucy becomes a victim of cyber rape and (actual) sexual assault. Apparently, this man who went by the name Charlie was a frequent sex offender, a pervert.... been tracked by the FBI and such.
Lucy never realized how serious her parents, cops, shrinks, were until an FBI agent showed her pictures of other victims of "Charlie".
I really like this film because it depicts all the things that any frequent internet users are capable of getting exposed , victimized of... and so on
cyber bullies, cyber rape , cyber everything.
we are living in the 21st century where conflicts have taken over in the new dimension called cyber space. so be careful y'alls!
