Melamine board is referred to as three melamine board; the full name is melamine impregnated paper veneer plywood. It places paper with different colors or texture into the melamine resin adhesive to immerse, and then dry to a certain degree of curing. The usually is mounted on particleboard, called melamine veneer particleboard, abbreviate as MFC melamine faced chipboard, which also can be paved on moisture-proof board, medium density fiberboard or hardboard surface, to form into decoration board by hot pressing.
In the production process, it is generally formed by several layers of paper, according to the number of uses. Melamine boards are not new products, fancy name does not mean the product is fresh. Such boards have already been produced in the country, which was originally used to make computer desks and other office furniture, mostly monochrome panels. With the popularity of panel furniture for home, it has gradually become the first manufacturing material choice for furniture plants, surface colors and patterns are also much more. Currently the panel furniture on the market adopts imported and domestically-produced two boards.
Features of melamine boards:
Melamine boards make the furniture look strong, paper printed with color or graining itself is fragile, film paper formed after being soaked in melamine transparent resin board is harder; this melamine impregnated paper has a good performance being hot heating processed with film substrates into one. The furniture made using it does not have to paint, surface naturally forms a protective film, wear resistant, scratch resistant, and acid and alkali resistance, iron resistant and resistant to pollution. In the selection of such furniture, in addition to the color and texture, we also can distinguish the appearance quality from several aspects. Whether there are stains, scratches, dents, porosity, whether color, luster is uniform, whether there is bubbling phenomenon, whether the local paper tear or defect phenomenon.
Advantages of melamine boards:
Smooth surface, not easily deformed because of the same double-sided expansion coefficient, bright colors, and surface is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and affordable.
Currently melamine furniture on the market for home mostly uses MDF and particleboard as substrate, by contrast, the performance of MDF is better than the latter. MDF internal structure is uniform; binding force is greater than particleboard, small deformation, good surface flatness, strong grip nails. Thus, the melamine board using MDF as substrate is more durable; better play assembling characteristics of panel furniture. Particleboard texture is relatively loose, poor nail holding power, and low cost compared to the former.
