きのうは日本で今のところ行われる予定となっているオリンピックの聖火リレーに関するCNN報道がありましたので、また用語を見ていきますね。

聖火ランナーは１万人。聖火は全国を回ります。観客は沿道での聖火観覧ができます。
There will be １０，０００ torch bearers, who will carry the torch across the country. Spectators will be allowed to line the relay route and watch the torch go by.
もちろん観客にはマスク着用が求められ、声を出して応援する代わりに拍手で応援することのほか、人との接触や密集、多くの観客が集まる事態を避けるよう要請されます。
Of course, they are going to have to wear masks. They've been asked by officials not to vocally cheer on these runners, instead they can clap to show their support. They've been asked to avoid contact with people, close spaces and large crowd sizes.
