Hello! It has been a while! I've been very busy this summer hanging out with my friends so I have not been able to make an entry.
Earlier this week I began college. It has caused a lot of changes in my life. First of all, I know I have mentioned this, but I moved into a dormitory!
This is what my new home looks like!

My roommate occupies the other side of the room. My roommate is pretty cool. Of course we are very different and sometimes we argue but we still get along. This is my roommate Lynn! (Sorry about the sideways picture)

She is a lot taller than I am so we look funny together in pictures! I've had a lot of fun these 2 weeks. I met a lot of people, tried a lot of new things, and I also feel like I've grown up a lot. Now I have to was my own dishes, do my own laundry, and pay for everything by myself. I also no longer have my parents around to remind me of the little things. But don't worry! I talk to my parents and my little brother everyday. Speaking of my little brother... he starts High School tomorrow! Isn't that exciting!? The best part is that a lot of his teachers used to be my teachers. He even has the same homeroom teacher that I had! He is really going to have a lot of fun in High School. I'm honestly a bit jealous. I miss high school and all my friends I made in High School. We are all very busy so we don't get to talk a lot but when we do I almost cry because I miss them so much! Thankfully we all promised we would write to each other! It'll be a lot of fun.
Classes are very different from my high school classes. I only certain classes a few times a week and a lot of the work I have to do is online. I have already switched my major. I originally wanted to study to become an English Literature Teacher but now I'm studying to become a Math Teacher. I feel that now my classes are a lot easier since I am now doing something I enjoy doing.
The food at my college is not that bad either. Everything is super expensive but it tastes pretty good. I really like this one place called Jamba Juice! They make smoothies that are very healthy and can easily fill you up! It's like a meal! It's my favorite thing to buy right now. Whenever I am not eating food from the university I am usually eating Easy Mac and Ramen. The thing is I can only eat so much of one thing before it gets boring! It's just one of the woes of an American college student.
This is not college related but I want to share this anyways. Yesterday I finished reading the book, The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. It was a really good book, but it was so sad! I cried for a hour after I finished the book. Now I just have to wait for the movie to come out next year!
Well I do have a lot to say but it would be too much to put in one entry! So I'm gonna end this here :) Thanks for reading and keep reading to find out more about my college life in America. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures of my college next time!

My summer began Monday and a lot of things have happened since then. Monday night, my friends and I bought tickets to go to our school's Junior/Senior Banquet. Sounds fun right? It really was but at the same time it kinda was not. The Senior class gets to watch a slide show every year compiled of pictures through the class's life. You see, the girl that made the slideshow only included pictures of her and her friends. It was not fun to watch at all! And it was 20 minutes long! I did not care that I was not in it, I usually am not in these things. But I really wanted to see pictures of my friends. Still... I did not let this ruin my night! My friends and I took a lot of new pictures to make up for it!

Eventually the dancing part of the banquet started. My friends and I had a lot of fun dancing with all the excitement built up inside of us. I mean it was summer! We are done with High School and we should celebrate right? Well it was all peachy until... I got confessed to. o(;△;)o I'm not going to go into details... but because I am going to college far away soon I said no. Very nicely of course. I did not let this stop me from having a super fun night!
After the banquet my friends came over to hang out and sleepover! We had a lot of fun staying up late swapping funny stories. But the next morning we had to get up SUPER early because we had Graduation practice at 8:00AM! We were really tired as we had to get up very early because girls spend a lot of time in the bathroom and there were 4 of us PLUS my little brother that still had to go to school.
Before graduation practice we stopped to get breakfast at McDonalds. I do not really like breakfast very much so I only had a fruit smoothie. When we got to practice I found out that we have to sit in alphabetical order, luckily my friend Joe is next to me in the alphabet. We spent the entire practice talking and making jokes. It was a lot of fun! Then my friends and I went to Panera Bread for lunch, and then we walked the trails in the park. It really was a lot of fun! And when I got home I tried on my cap and gown!

Yesterday, I organized all of my school work. I made a keep pile and a fire pile. My friends and I are planning a bonfire to burn all the schoolwork we do not want to keep during college. My stack is really tall too! After I organized my schoolwork, my friends and I went to go see the movie Identity Thief! We thought it was really really funny.
Today my friends and I are planning to go out for coffee at the bookstore but I do not know when. I'll keep you updated! But that has been what is going on with me over in America. Before I go I want to share a funny story!
The week before school ended, my English teacher took us to the Art show and had us each write something inspired by one of the pieces of art there. I wrote about a piece that had a transparent girl trying to comfort a girl that was crying. The picture was in black and white and it was very sad. I wrote a first person fictional story about a girl that committed suicide. The next day, I read my story in class and everyone said it was a really good but sad story. Well... On Monday, the last day of school, after I read another assignment of mine to the class, my reflective narrative, my classmates again said that it was a great story. I was really happy but then one girl raised her hand and said, "Wow really interesting things happen to you, this and then that one girl that committed suicide!" I was really confused so I asked what she meant by that. she said, "Wait, so the girl that committed suicide was not a true story? Because we thought that might have been the reason why you moved here!" I was so surprised that I could not stop laughing! My friends also started laughing. I kept denying it between laughs. I apparently written my story so well that people thought it really happened! I was so flattered. I was also offended because the story was the point of view of the bully and I would never do that to anyone. I would feel too guilty. Well, that is my funny story that I wanted to share.
