The ASUS PadFone 2 got its big reveal a little over a month ago, and while the device will be available in both black and white variants, so far we haven't seen much of the latter model. That changes today, as VR-Zone has gotten hold of some quality shots of the white PadFone 2 alongside a white PadFone 2 Station. The photos show a PadFone 2 handset that's white on both its front and rear, which is good news for folks that aren't fans of the two-tone black-front-and-white-rear look that some white devices have. The same can't be said for the white PadFone 2 Station, though, as it features a white backside but a black bezel on its face.

The PadFone 2's spec sheet includes a 4.7-inch 1280x720 Super IPS+ display, 13-megapixel rear and 1.2-megapixel front cameras, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and a 2,140mAh battery such as Asus T12 Battery , Asus U5 Battery , Asus U5A Battery , Asus U5F Battery , Asus V1 Battery , Asus V2 Battery , Asus V6 Battery , Asus V6000 Battery , Asus W1 Battery , Asus W1000 Battery , Asus W1G Battery , Asus W1V Battery powering the whole show. The PadFone 2 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled but is upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Meanwhile, the PadFone 2 Station features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 IPS display, 1-megapixel camera and 5,000mAh battery.

While a white smartphone isn't for everyone, it's always good to see a manufacturer offer a couple of different color options, and the fact that both colors of the PadFone 2 are official now will surely please anyone that's ever gotten upset about the debut of a white version of a device that came several months after the black variant. The PadFone 2 is set to launch in several European and Asian countries "before the end of December." There's no word on a U.S. release just yet, but ASUS has promised to announce details on availability in other countries soon. Until then, you can find more shots of the white PadFone 2 at the VR-Zone link below.

With the help of its animated chairman Jonney Shih and some interesting visual spectacles courtesy of technological illusionist Marco Tempest, Asus on Tuesday unveiled its new Windows 8 lineup, a wide range of products comprising notebooks, ultrabooks, all-in-one desktop PCs, and more.

Leading off the new lineup is the Asus VivoBook Series with touch displays. Available in two different models, the X202 and the S400, the new VivoBook can be configured in several different ways and features screen sizes of either 11 inches or 14 inches. Both models come decked out in a brush aluminum finish and sport a refined keyboard as well as a keyboard that incorporates gesture controls for Windows 8, like two-finger scrolling and swiping. The VivoBook X202 packs an Intel Core i3 processor and an 11.6-inch multitouch display with a maximum resolution of 1,366-by-768. It will also feature up to 4GB of RAM and can be configured with either a 320GB or 500GB hard drive. The VivoBook S400, meanwhile, sports a slightly larger chassis and can be configured with an Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processor and has a 14-inch multitouch display. It can be packed with up to 8GB RAM and either a 320GB or 500GB hard drive, and both configurations will also include a 24GB solid state drive (SSD).
