Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Sony laptop battery

Booting up the Sony Vaio Duo took around 10 seconds, which seems pretty fast compared with Windows 7 computers. As a Windows 8 PC, it falls slightly short of the Satellite U920t, which did it in 6 seconds.

We haven't been terribly impressed with the battery life on Windows 8 convertibles--the Toshiba Satellite U920t managed less than six hours--and the Sony Vaio Duo 11 didn't fare any better at just 4 hours and 46 minutes. It barely meets the general Ultrabook requirement of at least five hours, though our video playback test (50 percent screen brightness with audio and Wi-Fi turned off) is probably more taxing than merely checking email or surfing the Internet.

The consolation is that there's an optional sheet battery like Sony VGP-BPS10 battery , Sony VGN-FZ battery , Sony VGP-BPS8A battery , Sony VGP-BPS19 battery , Sony VGP-BPL19 battery , Sony VGP-BPS20 battery , Sony VGP-BPS20/B battery , Sony VGP-BPS20/S battery , Sony VGP-BPS12 battery , Sony VGP-BPL12 battery , Sony VGN-Z21XN battery accessory to extend the uptime on the Sony Vaio Duo 11, which isn't a feature found on most Ultrabooks.

Sony includes an industry-standard one-year parts-and-labor warranty with the system. Support is accessible via a customer hotline and a Web site with drivers, FAQs and manuals.

Vincent Chang, Senior Writer Latest comments Another reviewer to miss the point. It's not supposed to be the perfect laptop and the perfect tablet in one. The compromises are spot on in my opinion. It's portable and the keyboard is very quickly and easily accessible, and doesn't get in the way when it's not needed. Do you really expect this to be as light and easy to hold as an iPad yet perform as well as a high end ultrabook? Where do you expect the track pad to go on a slider design? Who thinks a track pad is absolutely necessary on a windows 8 touchscreen with pen input? Buy a Bluetooth mouse, or a laptop! This machine is a well designed, great OPTION. It will suit many people down to the ground. It's not a laptop, it's not a tablet. It's an in between which by its nature compromises the two to achieve what it does. Review it for what it is!

I don't have unrealistic expectations for it but it suits my needs perfectly and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm happily accepting it's design compromises (or "flaws") because I think the overall design is perfect. I've sold my series 9 ultra book and my note 10.1 and can't wait to take delivery of the device I've been waiting for someone to come up with.

I own the i5 model. I think its really nice just got it yesterday its very fast. I have two gripes though the front facing camera that isn't angled well for video chat on a common table causing the chin to be cut off and the pen cap that can't fit on the end of the pen/ stylus. I feel like I'll loose it. But other than that it feels nice its not a feather weight but it doesn't bother me the screen is beautiful! The stylus writes well I don't draw so I'm not picky it looks like my hand writing. Don't think I'll b returning I have been wanting a tablet slash full pc thus is for me I don't want a separate tablet .
