Lido island has three residential areas, the most northern part of the Lido, where is also a place to hold film festivals, there exist luxury hotels. Malamocco which lies in the central part is the first, and for quite a long time the only residential area in the island, housing 20,000 residents. The Alberoni in the south has fort and golf courses.
The most luxurious place on the island is Santa Maria Eliza Beta Street, it bestrides Lido from epeiric sea towards one side of Venice to Adria seaside, and there are many hotel, shops and restaurants entertained for traveler on the both sides of the street. The island has a lot of elegant open-air cafes which attracts numerous tourists and becomes a major local feature. Although these cafes can not be compared with the oldest Fololyon coffee shop facing St. Mark Square, which receives the most celebrities, they still attract many visitors to stop to enjoy.
Facing Venice Lagoon, you can see the romantic gondolas with black pointed-ends coming and going in the watercourse and on the sea. Besides, there are also unique mansions, churches and abbeys with peaked roofs and colorful window lintels. Tasting slowly the old-timey city, you would feel yourself staying in the eighteen century. There are at least half the length of the beach towards the Adriatic side of the island, calm sea, the thin golden sand, slowly tilt the bed, there is the best place to enjoy the sun and sand.
