More humble and kind words from Nadal aimed at Berdych. The Czech's time will come. Not sure that is guaranteed to be honest. Sue Barker puts it to Nadal he had to be at his best to beat Berdych. That simply wasn’t true. He just waited for the moments when he needed to step up and stepped up. It was an ordinary sort of win from an extraordinary player.
Amid the pleasantries Nadal does actually say something interesting. And pointed. He once more thanked the crowd for showing respect during his victory over ‘the local player’ in the semi-final. “That doesn’t happen in every court of the world.”
