Echy, innovative start-up specializing in natural fiber optic lighting, announces a fundraising EUR 500 000. Founded in 2012 by Quentin Martin-Laval, Florent Longa and Stéphanie Le Beuze, echy patented ecological and clivante solution for introducing sunlight in buildings by means of optical fibers. Born on the banks of Polytechnique, the prototype has since emerged in the School of Bridges and Roads.
In a year and a half, the company has won numerous awards, most recently the global competition EDF innovation and price Moovjee. It has signed a partnership with a global player in the traditional lighting. The company achieved its first facility in September 2013 and prepares projects in the second half 2014. This first fundraiser significant, averaging 500 K €, from business angels influential in the field of building and finance, will enable it to accelerate its commercial launch and continue its efforts in R&D.
