これをブログに書く理由は
「言語によって伝わるものが違う」
というサンプルとしてとても良い と思うからです
良い事を言ってるんだけど、日本語にすると通じません というもの

なかなか良い事を言っていると思います
この人が操縦士だ、ということにも惹かれるものがあります
サン＝テグジュペリも操縦士だった
操縦士はこういう達観した文章を書くものなのだろうかと
初めて読んだ高校生の頃には思った
The best way to pay for a lovely moment is to enjoy it. など、
私がいつも言う「人生は楽しむ為にある」の別バージョンのようで
非常に共感するものがあります
しかし、これを日本語にすると どうも響かないのです
※あえて自分では日本語にしません
これは何故か？
ひとつには、同じ意味の言葉【シニフィエ（signifié）】が日本語に無い
という理由があります
しかし、もっと私が個人的に思うのは
その言葉が創られた背景が違う為に訳語自体【シニフィアン（signifiant）】が
異言語間では存在できないという根本的な理由があるのだということです
ちょっとややこしいことを書いていますが
たとえば love という言葉が出てきますが
この例文でもはっきりしていますが
英語で love というのはゴッドが必ず絡んできます
もともと love はゴッドが創ったものだからです
【ゴッドはすべてを創ったのだそうです】
だから love と言った途端、ゴッドの存在が背景に浮かんできます
ゴッドを信じていない人々には、 love が出てきた途端、
理解が止まります
love と愛とは 全然違うものなのです

わたしは、スティーブン・ピンカーの主張をあらためて
否定したくなります
というか
私の宇宙では
『言語と思考は結びついており、思考は言語に支配される』
です
