ブータン旅行１日目 Bhutan tour day1

ブータン旅行の報告です。

観光案内も兼ねて、まわったところを紹介しながら、感じたことを書いていきたいと思います。

I contiue writing on my tour to Bhutan.

ブータンに到着したのは日曜日。

週末は、それぞれの街で市場が開かれています。

We arrived at Bhutan on Sunday.

At first, we went to see weekend market.

バスケットは、市場に行く時の必需品。

ビニール袋は使用禁止の国です。エコバッグは、ブータンの方がずっと進んでいましたね。

You need your own bag to shop in market. Plastic bags are prohibited in Bhutan. These days, it is common to carry my own bag not to use plastic bags in Japan. However, the idea of "Ecology" is much advanced in Bhutan.

首都ティンプーには、新しく完成した二階建ての市場。

わたしも、はじめてです。

雨でも足元がどろどろにならないのはうれしいですね。

The capital city Thimphu has new two-storied market building. This is my first time to come here. People don't need to care about rain anymore with this comfortable building.

ティンプーの干物コーナー。

手前はチュゴ（乾燥チーズ）、

奥はニャカム（干し魚）。

びっくりしたのは、値段表示があること。政府の指導なのだそうです。

そんなもんかなって思っていたけど、確かに、あるとわかりやすいですね。

These are dried cheese and dried fish. I was surprised with price tags which had never seen before.

最初のランチは、プラムズカフェ。

手旗信号のおまわりさんを見おろせるレストランです。

みんな、けっこういい感じに食べてくれたので、ほっとしました。

The first lunch was at Plums cafe. We can see the police men giving signals.

Everyone had good appetite with Bhutanese cuisine.

そうそう。

まだ紹介していませんでしたが、今回わたしと一緒にブータンに行ってくれたのは、仙台から２人、東京から２人、合計４人の刺繍の生徒さんたち。

年齢、職業、みんなばらばら。

ブータン刺繍がつないでくれたご縁です。

成田空港で初対面。

でも、共通の興味を持っている素敵な人たちが一緒にいたら、楽しくないわけがない！

メンバーに関する不安はまったくなかったのでした。

このご縁を結んでくれたのはブータンやブータン刺繍ですが、わたしもそのお手伝いができたことは、とってもうれしいことです。

This time 4 women went to Bhutan with me. Two come from Tokyo and two come from Sendai. All of them are my embroidery lesson's students. Age, occupation, they have nothing in common with each other but embroidery. They met first time at Narita airport. However, I was sure we can have fun tohether.

Bhutan and Bhutanese embroidery made them connected. Still it is big pleasure that I can take part of this chance.

さぁ。

タシチョ・ゾンに行こう！

Let's go to Tashicho Dzong !

ゾンは、お城。

ブータンは、お役所（実務）と仏教（精神）の両方がきちんと機能することが社会の安定をもたらす、と考えています。

ゾンは、その政府とお寺の両方が執り行われる、地域の中心です。

地方のゾンには、ゾンダ（県知事）と県のお坊さんの執務室があります。

タシチョ・ゾンは、国の中心のゾンなので、王様と、お坊さんの王様にあたるジェ・ケンポ（大僧正）の執務室があります。

以前、ブータンには夏の首都と冬の首都がありました。

今は、政府は一年中ティンプーにありますが、お坊さんたちは今でも夏と冬で移動します。

わたしたちがゾンを訪れた翌日、ジェ・ケンポが冬の首都プナカから移動してくる日でした。

ジェ・ケンポをお迎えするため、五色の旗でゾンが飾られています。

Bhutan considers government and Buddhism both shold work properly to keep society sustaingable. In Dzong, there are government office and temples both. Tashicho Dzong has His majesty's office and Je Kempo(archbishop)'s office as center of Bhutan.

The next day we visited Dzong, Je kempo would shift from winter capital Punakha to summer capital Thimphu. So there were decoration to receive him.

タシチョ・ゾンの手前ではためく、国旗。

これが、ブータンで一番大切な国旗です。

ちょうど夕方５時だったので、お坊さんを先頭に兵隊さんたちが行進してきて旗をおろすところを見物できました。

現国王が即位されてからはじまった、毎日の儀式だそうです。

The most important national flag is hoisted in front of Dzong. It was 5 O'clock so we could see soldiers came out from Dzong to put the flag down. This is new ceremony which started after present king had been crowned.

ゾンの向かいには、SAARCビル。

国会議事堂です。

ゾンのように古いものではありませんが、ブータンらしくてかっこいいビルです。

The other side of Dzong, there is SAARC building which has national assembly hall.

It is not old building like Dzong, but it is very beautiful with Bhutanese design.

ティンプーの南に移動して、丘の上にそびえる大仏へ。

ティンプーの新しいランドマークです。

もうちょっとで完成。中にあるお堂をお参りできるようになるのだそうです。

眺めがよさそうだし、楽しみです。

We drove to the south of Thimphu.

We visited new huge statue of Lord Buddha.

薄暗くなってきたけど、メモリアル・チョルテンへ。

メモリアル・チョルテンは、わたしがブータンに来た当時勤めていたjica事務所に近く、毎日このチョルテンをまわって通勤していました。

ゆっくり歩きながらチョルテンを３周しました。歩きながら、しみじみ、ブータンに来たなぁと思いました。

中国・エチオピア・ブータンと、外国には３か国住みましたが、里帰りを果たしたのは初めてです。

住んだ時間も、ブータンが一番長くなりました。中国やエチオピアも好きだしなつかしいけど、ブータンが一番ご縁があったということなのでしょう。

そして、これからも、ブータンとのご縁は、強く太く育てていきたいと思うのでした。

Memorial Chorten shows beautiful shape in twiligt.

We walked around Chorten 3 times.

When I was working in Bhutan, my office was near this chorten. Every day, I drove around here. Walking around memorial Chorten brought me happy feeling that "I'm in Bhutan again !" I lived in Ethiopia, China and Bhutan. However, this is my first time to go back to the city where I lived. I like other places too. But, it seems my connection to Bhutan is strongest. I want to keep this relationship long and make it better.
