国賓として招待を受けた天皇皇后両陛下がイギリスに到着されました。両陛下が滞在されるホテル前には100人以上の人が詰め掛けました。　22日、両陛下が滞在されるロンドン中心部のホテル前には、現地に住む日本人ら100人以上が詰め掛けました。　両陛下が到着した際には道の両側に集まった人たちから大きな歓声が上がり、両陛下は手を振って応えられました。男性「心臓がバクバクお目にかかれて光栄でした」女性2人組「4時間ぐらい（待ちました）」「日本だったらこの距離感でお会いできないので貴重な経験だった」スイス人観光客「日本国旗をみてインターネットで調べて両陛下の訪問を知りました。日本のロイヤルファミリーを見られるなんてとても興味深いです」　関係者によりますと、両陛下を乗せた車はロンドン近郊の空港から予定よりも時間をかけてゆっくりとした速度で走り、25日に晩餐（ばんさん）会などが行われるバッキンガム宮殿の前やパレードを行う「ザ・マル」などを通られて、ホテルに到着したということです。 [テレ朝ｎｅｗｓ] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp

英国を公式訪問するため日本を出発した天皇、皇后両陛下は、現地時間の22日夕（日本時間23日未明）、ロンドンに到着された。　両陛下は2022年9月にエリザベス女王（Queen Elizabeth II）の国葬に出席するために英国を訪問しているが、国際親善訪問としては昨年6月のインドネシア以来、即位後2度目となる。　現地時間の28日には両陛下がそれぞれ留学していたオックスフォード大学（University of Oxford）を訪れる。日本時間29日に帰国する予定。
