My name is Rokas. I'm a Lithuanian guy who trained Aikido for 14 years, 7 of them running a professional Aikido Dojo until eventually I realized that Aikido does not live up to what it promises. Lead by this realization I decided to make a daring step to close my Aikido Dojo and move to Portland, Oregon for six months to start training MMA at the famous Straight Blast Gym Headquarters under head coach Matt Thornton. After six months intensive training I had my first amateur MMA fight after which I moved back to Lithuania. During all of this time I am documenting my experience through my YouTube channel called "Martial Arts Journey". エイリアンニキの戦いが海外の話題に（朝倉未来YouTubeチャンネルより）
朝倉未来の1分間大会『BreakingDown』(ブレイキングダウン)がなんと海外でも話題になっている。英国タブロイド紙「DAILY STAR」がブレイキングダウンを紹介し、それが多くの反響を呼んでいるのだ。 紹介されたのは、昨年11月に開催された『BreakingDown6』のオーディションのスパーリング動画。エイリアンニキがエイリアンの着ぐるみで登場し、その状態でスパーリングしたものだ。

同じTikToker対の“たいてぃん”とのスパーリング。未来のリクエストで着ぐるみのまま戦ったエイリアンニキは、単なる“エンタメ枠”と思われた周囲の予想とは裏腹に怒涛のパンチ蹴り。的確にパンチを当てるなどしたが、エイリアンニキの着ぐるみ姿のなんとも“お間抜けな”感じに、流石の未来も爆笑した。 この映像動画が人気格闘ブロガーのツイッターで拡散されると、「DAILY STAR」が3日に報道。“エイリアンの衣装を着たMMAファイター、4本の足を活かし対戦相手を撃破”とのタイトルを付け、“世界のクレイジーなファイト”、“斬新な戦い”、“4本の足を使うなんて、この戦いはフェアではなかった”などの表現でこの試合を面白がった。 また、この映像のコメント欄にも「こんなの見た事がない」「最高にバカバカしくて面白い」などブレイキングダウンの世界観を楽しむ声が寄せられている。 初開催からわずか2年間で、格闘技界だけではなく、ネット世代を中心とした多くの若者の支持を受け、“社会現象化”しているブレイキングダウン。その世界観は海外でも通用するのか。今年は海外進出の計画もあるとのことだが、今後の動向に注目だ
